Our beautiful, large two bedroom apartment is part of an elegant alpine chalet-style building only constructed in 2006 and finished to a high standard. It is in a quiet location and has an interior lift. The apartment is on the first floor with stunning views from its large sunny L-shaped balcony. Close by is the best restaurant in the village, L'O a la Bouche. The main gondola to the ski runs is just across the valley, two minutes by car or ski shuttle bus which picks up and drops off outside the restaurant. Travelling to Les Contamines by car is very useful as it provides the opportunity to explore the huge range of skiing in nearby resorts like Megeve, Combloux, Les Houche, Chamonix, and Les Grande Massif circuit.

Changeover day
Saturday. Please leave by 10am on day of departure. Arrival from 4pm (to leave time for cleaning, etc).

Skiing
Les Contamines is a stunning resort beside Mont Blanc with amazing mountain views. Its north-facing slopes have a much envied snow record and its height (7,500ft at the top) ensures skiing when other areas are short of snow. Its 150 kms of runs are a paradise for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders, though there are enough black runs and off-piste areas to keep experts interested. A board park and jumps are built each winter for those who want to find some "air." Les Contamines is a very traditional French resort, but the local ski school has instructors who speak English. There is also a Ski du Fond area laid out in the valley with tracks running through the woods for those who just want to enjoy the countryside. For the more adventurous, there is a huge range of skiing in nearby resorts like Megeve or Chamonix which can be reached via a short car drive.

Les Contamines has two small supermarkets, butchers, a bank with ATM which takes UK cards, post office, at least half-a-dozen restaurants, bars, out-door skating rink, and flood-lit skiing at night on the nursery slope.
Booking notes
Deposit required at time of booking, balance three weeks before arrival. We also ask for a returnable damages deposit of £150 which is sent back to you provided the apartment is returned in good order.
