Changeover day
Changeover day during peak season is Saturday. Mid week bookings are accepted during low/mid season. The property will be available from 15h00. Departure 11h00.

Outside
There are 3 gardens which consist of a patio/decked area, a lawned area ideal for ball games and badminton. We have a barbecue, patio table/chairs for 6 people plus 4 sun loungers. The third garden is being developed into a quiet shaded area.
Coast/Beach
There are many lovely sandy beaches within reach of Gathemo. The nearest is 60 mins drive away. The beaches of Brittany, eg Dinard are approx 90 mins by car.
Arromanches (1hour drive) is perhaps the most famous of the D-Day Landing beaches, although Sword, Gold, Omaha and Juno are well worth a visit. There is a museum at Arromanches which contains interesting facts relating to the artificial harbour (Mulberry) which was built there in the first days of the invasion. Parts remain visible.
Golf
Normandy is blessed with the geography and climate of a golfers paradise. The brochure "Golf in Normandy" gives practical information on all 37 diverse courses which are open all year round. The nearest golf course is Golf de Vire-La Dathee. This is a beautiful 18 hole course with plenty of water hazards. There are large, undulating greens, but on the whole it is not too physically tiring. Other golf courses include a challenging 9 hole course at Golf du Centre Manche (situated between saint Lo and Periers), and 27 hole course, Golf de Caen. Caen has become an important course, one of the best that Formule Golf offers. Golf de Clecy (approximately 45 mins) is an 18 hole course with undulating fairways, some narrow greens and risky tees with demanding drives. Travel
The ferry port of Caen is approx 1 hour’s drive from Enchante. Cherbourg is 1½ hour’s. Le Havre is 2 hours. Calais is 5½ hours. Dieppe is 4½ hours. Boulogne is 4½ hours. Nearest airport is Dinan 1½ hour’s. Paris Charles De Gaulle is 4½ hours, but there is a train service from Paris to Vire. We can give details of car hire if required.
Distances
Enchante is within 5 minutes of the local village of Gathemo, which has a bar/general store and a boulangerie. The small town of Sourdeval is 10 minutes away. Sourdeval has a weekly market, 2 supermarkets, bars etc. Historic Vire with its medieval entrance doors, museum, great shopping, an indoor swimming pool and a river is 10 kilometres from Gathemo. Lac Dathee with boating/fishing facilities, plus a golf course is 5 minutes drive.The forest of St.Sever, ideal for fishing & walking is 7km.

A deposit of £70 is required to confirm the booking. Balance is due 4 weeks before date of arrival. We do require a refundable security deposit of £70.
