The apartment is situated in a peaceful location with excellent alpine views. It is close to a ski lift and free bus service with local baker, newsagent, launderette, hotels and ski hire. It is fully equipped with cellar for ski equipment and parking close to the building. It is about 10 minutes walk downhill to the village centre where there are excellent restaurants and bars. Chatel is a friendly place; its charm comes from being a living village which offers ski facilities rather than being a purpose built resort. It is a beautiful place in summer too and offers walking, cycling, golf, tennis, white water rafting, paragliding and more.

Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day.

Towels and linen are not included. Cleaning of the flat must be undertaken by the client. |
Notes on accommodation
We do not restrict heating (radiators) or hot water. the appartment is child friendly with a TV/DVD combi which also plays CDs. There is a variety of games and jigsaws.
Accessibility
Although, technically, wheelchair users could access the apartment, it is not recommended.
Outside
There is a small terrace with outside tables and chairs, overlooking the village and the Alps.
Golf
Several golf courses from 30 mins to an hour's drive.
Skiing
The property is in the Portes du Soleil area which offers the whole range of skiing opportunities from beginners to advanced. Toddlers are catered for at local nursery/ski schools and there are several excellent ski schools offering a full range of classes for ability and type of instruction.
Travel
Chatel is 8 hours drive from Calais and about an hour and a half from Geneva airport. Transfers can be arranged to and from the airport and there is a free bus service in the area to and from the slopes. It is a personal choice whether or not to have a car.
Distances
The appartment is about ten/15 minutes walk to the centre of the village (longer on the way back as it is uphill). There is a swimming pool and cinema in Chatel and spas nearby. Lake Leman, Evian, Montreux are all within an hour's drive.
Further details
Chatel centre has several banks, butchers, bakers, very good restaurants and bars. There are also wood carvers, pottery and fancy goods shops, nice wine markets, takeaway pizza restaurants and one small supermarket. There is a large Intermarche on the outskirts, about 5 minutes drive from the centre.
Booking notes
Provisional booking primarily after which the booking form will be sent, to be returned within 7 days with a 25% deposit. Final balance will be due 6 weeks before departure.
