Moulin des Farges is situated in the Correze department of central France north east of the Dordogne and within a national park. It sits in a beautiful and peaceful 6 acre valley. We offer a totally private holiday retreat for discerning customers who wish to escape everyday life in accommodation that is comfortable and relaxing. We have a large private swimming pool new for 2007, sun loungers and parasols available for guests around the pool and in our garden terraces which surround the pool area. Our private lake offers trout fishing. There is also a rowing boat for guests to use. There are plenty of areas to walk, many places to sit and relax around the lake and gardens, there is the pleasing sound of water from the streams and waterfall within the grounds. Ideal surroundings to inspire painters and photographers alike. Meymac our nearest town is only 3km away and offers all the amenities you would expect including shops, restaurants. It also has a modern art museum.

Table d'hotes available with prior arrangement - 25 euros p/person for 3 coarses. We offer painting, walking and cycling holidays as well as hiring the venue for wedding receptions.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Arrivals at 4pm. Departures 10am.
Notes on accommodation
The house marries traditional features of oak flooring with modern conveniences and has been completely redecorated in 2007. We offer evening meals by prior arrangement which can be served in our dining room or garden terrace in the summer months overlooking the grounds
Accessibility
Our property offers quiet and relaxing surroundings most of the area is sloped therefore accessible to wheelchair users and we have 2 suites in the house that are also accessible.
Outside
There is a garden terrace outside the house. The terrace has fantastic panoramic views. During the summer months we serve breakfast and dinner. There are many areas to walk and sit around the lake and swimming pool. The swimming pool is new for 2007 (10x4.5m). The decking around the pool has loungers, parasols and chairs, for those who would prefer to sit in the shade we have a pergola with comfortable seating next to the river. The viaduct at the end of the lake is a tourist attraction for the local area, you get fantastic views from the bank on the lake. We also have a small rowing boat for guests to use.

2.5 hours from the coast.

There are 4 golf courses within the area which are open all year.
Skiing
Skiing for all abilities is available at Le Mont Dore which is 45 minutes away. A well equipped resort with 82 snow machines, 33 ski lifts and cable cars. The season starts in December.

2) Photography: Getting to know your digital SLR with guided photo shoots in and around the local area.

Nearest airport Limoges 1 hour, car hire recommended or can provide pick up and drop down at the airport. Ferry ports: Calais 492km, St Malo 346km.

Meymac 3km: A lovely town with pepperpot towers modern art museum, abbeye, market and restaurants. 3 chateaux within 40 mins. 6 plus beaux villages within the Correze all within 60km. Limoges Porcelain Factories 1 hour. Ski centre and beautiful scenery in the Massif Central 45 mins.

Large local lake with activities sailing, kayaking and other water sports. There is also a sandy beach and kiddies play grounds around the lake.
