Notes on accommodation
The location of this property means that there is something for everyone. It is situated on a fairly busy road (although the property is entirely enclosed so children are safe) and this road links the property to many villages, towns and attractions. The pretty renaissance town of Fontenay-le-Comte is just 15mins by car, as are the surrounding forests with Parc Pierre Braun, zoo, water sports, horse riding and much more. The cosmopolitan town of Niort is only 15mins in the opposite direction, with narrow streets, great shopping and many bars restaurants and cafes. Both towns have large and busy markets. The beautiful harbour town of La Rochelle is 50mins by car and the Futurscope theme park 1 hour. Just a 10mins drive from 'Residence Beausejour' will take you to a large lake with a man-made beach (supervised by lifeguards), waterslides, bar and boats. The family friendly beaches of the Vendee are within easy reach (45mins) and the coastline also boasts some great surf.

On the ground floor there is direct access to the walled garden at the rear. This houses a large pool with sun loungers. The garden is set over half an acre with a children’s play area, seating area and barbecue, as well as a covered terrace with table tennis and various games. The front of the property has double entrance gates leading onto a large gravel courtyard that is ideal for parking as well as for playing boules.

Fontenay-le-Comte is just 15 mins by car, as are the surrounding forests with Parc Pierre Braun, treetops adventure park, zoo, sailing, horse riding, canoeing, windsurfing, pedalos and much more. The town of Niort is only 15 mins in the opposite direction, and La Rochelle is 50 mins by car. The Futuroscope theme park is 1 hour away. The grand park of 'Puy de Fou' takes an hour to reach and visitors have described the evening show as 'breathtaking' and 'amazing!'
Further details
The property borders the "Marais Poitevin" an area known as 'Green Venice' which has miles of canals and hidden waterways to explore. Take a boat, canoe, kayak or a guided tour (if you prefer someone else to do all the hard work) and spend the day on the river.
