La Fosse is a small hamlet just outside the charming village of Foussais Payre. The Gite is a converted and modernised agricultural home sleeping 7 people, but benefiting from an additional double sofa bed and travel cot. The tranquil setting gives access to excellent country walks with off road footpaths running to the nearest village of Foussais just 1 mile away. The fabulous Mervent forest is just 5 minutes by car or you may prefer to take advantage of your own private pool with views across open countryside. You will be 50 minutes from either La Rochelle or the Atlantic Coast, but attractions such as Futuroscope or Puy de Fou are all within reach. If you are craving the hustle and bustle of a lively nightspot then La Fosse is not the place for you, but if you enjoy sitting out into the night with a glass of wine and watching the stars then you won’t be disappointed.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Changeover day
Normally Saturday to Saturday, however outside of peak season this may be negotiated with the owners. Part weeks and long weekends will also be considered. The property must be vacated by 10am and will be available by 4pm.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed and travel cot. Bedroom 2 with three single beds. Bedroom 3 is a mezzanine with double bed. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom with bath/shower over, WC, hand basin and washing machine. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen breakfast room contains cooker, double sink, fridge/freezer and a range of oak kitchen units. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room is a full height barn with stone walls and a mezzanine above. It contains a double sofa bed to extend the accommodation further if necessary. A small television and video, another table used as a desk or more formal dining. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bed linen can be provided however guests are asked to provide their own towels. |

Outside
The pool is an in ground salt water pool and measures 8x4m running from 0.6 at the shallow end to 1.8m in the deep, it is fenced around a substantial paved area all round for the most flexibility with sun loungers. We have an inflatable volley ball net and balls for the more competitive and a hammock for those with a good book. The usual outdoor table and chairs are available along with a couple of benches. The garden is primarily grass but surrounded by plum and hazelnut trees. The BBQ is there to be used and will require charcoal.
Coast/Beach
La Rochelle and the wonderful Atlantic coast are 50 minutes away.
Travel
There is an airport at La Rochelle less than 60 minutes away, but others too. Drive for the channel ports in 5 to 7 hours.

Nearest Village is Foussais 1 mile. Mervent Forest and river system 5 mins. Vouvant 10 mins. Fontenay le Comte 15 mins. Puy-de-Fou 1 hour. Futuroscope 1 hour 10 mins. Paris 5 hours.
Booking notes
25% deposit, full payment 6 weeks before arrival. Security and cleaning deposit of €200 payable in cash on arrival, which is returned at the end of your stay.
