Matisse has 2 bedrooms upstairs approached by a charming Y-shaped staircase, comprising of 1 double bedroom with Ample storage and space. Velux window with blackout blind for comfort. Twin bedroom with twin beds with ample storage space. Velux window with blackout blind for comfort. Downstairs is a family room which has a double bed and 2 single beds (1 pull out but with full size mattress for maximum comfort). Ample storage and space. Exposed stone wall. Downstairs is a large shower room with WC. Large heated towel rail. Open plan living room, dining, kitchen with Sky/TV/DVD/CD. 2 sofabeds. Dining table with seating for 10. Kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and 50/50 fridge/freezer. Single glazed door leads out to the rear of the property onto a shaded veranda overlooking the pool with al fresco dining, and patio doors also to the shaded veranda. WiFi available within Matisse. |

Notes on accommodation
The gites are tiled throughout keeping them cool in summer. Wooden flooring upstairs.
We can supply all equipment for children such as high chairs, cots, potties etc all free of charge.
Accessibility
Surrounding the immediate vicinity of the property is gravel so it would not be suitable for wheelchair use. The grounds can be uneven too.
Outside
With 4 acres of landscaped gardens including the carp stocked lake you can find your own private space with strategically placed seating. Shared 10m x 5m pool with a shallower end for the little ones and deep end for the more confident swimmers. BBQ (for each gite). Ample tables and chairs (both for dining and lounging). Swing seat. There is a 9-hole putt and putt on our top field (not to be taken too seriously!) Play areas for the children with swings and slides, wendy houses and sandpits for the very small and the older children alike. Table tennis x 2. Bikes (5 adult and 3 child + scooter!). Boules. Darts. Badminton/Volleyball area. Fishing.
Coast/Beach
Royan beach is about 50 -60 minutes away. Lovely sandy beaches. Boat trips available. Plenty of restaurants but can get very busy at peak times of the year.
St Georges de Didonne, 45 minutes, just South of Royan. Sandy beach, less busy and less commercial than Royan. Great for rock pooling near the cliffs. Has high level (in the trees) activity/obstacle courses too. Refreshments nearby.
Golf
9 hole course Montendre (10 minutes).
18 hole (Saintes/Cognac/Angouleme) all within 45 minutes.
Special interest holidays
We offer children's arts and crafts workshops for ages 5 to 16 covering the keystages within the UK system, based on the theme “Inspired By Nature”, to keep them stimulated and occupied in a safe environment whilst you enjoy time out. These proved so popular that we have now added Drama Workshops as well as part of the Anglais Children’s Theatre that we run
The workshops are run by a qualified art and drama teacher who has the enthusiasm and skill to get the best out of each child in an enjoyable way.
The day is usually from 10am-4pm but can be flexible. 35 euros per child.

90 minutes from La Rochelle.
Ferry:
4.5 - 5.5 hours from St Malo/Caen.
8 - 9 hours from Boulogne/Calais.
TGV goes into Angouleme 45 minutes away.

Within 15 minutes from major supermarket/shopping in Jonzac.

Les Antilles is a wonderful swimming complex, great for all the family.

Booking notes
£100 deposit per week booked secures the property.
A booking form needs to be completed and returned.
The balance is required 8 weeks before planned holiday dates.
No refunds can be made within 2 weeks of booked dates.
Monies can be paid by sterling cheque by post, or by money transfer, euros or sterling (details will be supplied).
