The property has panoramic views over glorious Provencal countryside. Five double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom and every convenience makes this an ideal property for friends or families. A huge heated swimming pool, terraces to dine on, Sky+ TV, extensive DVD library and Wi-Fi throughout means even the teenagers won't be bored! Only one hour from the airports of Nice and Marseilles. Medieval Lorgues, famous for its market, has a wealth of restaurants and shops. The small village of St Antonin, a short walk (less than a kilometre) away, has a boulangerie, well appointed shop and hotel/bar/restaurant.

Changeover day
Changeover day is usually Saturday, but may be on other days in low season. We ask guests to arrive after 4.30 pm and leave before 10 am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
The house is fully centrally heated in winter. There is a large fireplace in the drawing room and a wood-burning stove in the kitchen with logs provided. Fans in all bedrooms in the summer.

Outside
Large heated swimming pool (heating additional £150/week) 13m x 6m. Pool has rigid, electrically operated cover (conforming to French safety laws) but is not alarmed nor fenced. 10 comfortable sunbeds. Extensive landscaped gardens. Spacious pool house with fridge, sink etc. Gas barbecue. 2 dining terraces.

Coast/Beach
St Tropez with its beaches and restaurants 50km, Cannes 70km. There is swimming, sailing and windsurfing on the Lac de Ste Croix, whilst the spectacular Gorges du Verdon offer gentle-to-testing rafting, canyoning, kayaking and canoeing (both 30kms).

Golf
There are a number of good 18-hole golf courses within 30kms. The best are St Andréol and Barbaroux.

Travel
By Air: Nice airport 70 minutes (flights to over 10 regional UK airports), Marseille 70 minutes, Toulon 60 minutes. By Train: TGV stations at Les Arcs-Draguignan (20 mins) and Aix-en-Provence (60 mins). London St Pancras International station to Aix-en-Provence TGV station approx 6 hours. A8 motorway 25 mins.

Further details
Considered the gastronomic heartland of Provence, there are at least five Michelin starred restaurants within a short drive. The Var is the least developed department in the South of France and remains unspoilt. The markets are renowned for their abundance of fresh local produce and Lorgues (7km) is one of the most famous. Provence is one of France's largest wine-making regions and vineyards abound with many excellent quality wines. The landscape has pine-clad hills, vineyards and olive groves and there are many medieval hill-top villages and towns in the surrounding area such as Entrecasteaux, Salernes, Tourtour, Villecroze and Aups. Lorgues, has all the usual amenities (supermarkets, ATMs, doctor, butcher, fishmonger, cinema, chemist, and many cafes and restaurants).

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% of rental is required to secure a booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the rental period. A security deposit of £1000 is also required.
