Surrounded by meadows, Chalet Tressud is situated at 1255m about a mile from the centre of Les Gets. There are the most stunning views, east towards Les Hauts Forts, the Pointe de Nyon and on to the Dents du Midi in Switzerland; westwards down the valley towards Cluses, the Chaine du Bargy; and south towards the Les Gets ski runs and the sunshine. Originally built to our design 15 years ago, the chalet has just been refitted and renovated with refined style and sophistication. An extension of 60sq.m has made the interior extremely spacious and we have refurnished with every comfort in mind. All bedrooms are en-suite and 3 have extra beds. There is a well equipped large TV/games, modern practical kitchen and outside jacuzzi. Large picture windows lead out from the living room to the balcony where, in the summer, you can enjoy alfresco dining. We highly recommend car hire if you decide not to drive out. There is however a FREE shuttle bus to the village centre 200m away.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. 25% discount on second consecutive week. Our chalet will be unavailable for rent this summer 2008 due to renovation and extension work.
Changeover day
Sunday to Sunday winter changeover. Saturday to Saturday summer changeover.

Notes on accommodation
The landlords live on the ground floor completely separately from the holiday chalet. Underfloor heating and good insulation gives the chalet a warm comfortable feel. Great family location. We do kindly ask guests to respect the high quality of the furnishings and not to wear ski boots or outdoor shoes anywhere in the building.

Accessibility
Access to the front door is on the first floor with a short flight of steps leading from the drive.
Outside
The terrace is equipped with BBQ, hardwood outdoor furniture and parasol. There is an outdoor jacuzzi which seats 7 people. The surrounding meadows provide loads of good tobogganing !
Golf
Les Gets has an 18 hole golf course. In the heart of the Portes du Soleil, in wooded surroundings, the Les Gets Golf course has each hole named after the nearby peaks: with Mont Blanc or the 14th hole being the most impressive of this line up.
Skiing
In winter, as well as skiing and snowboarding, there are ice skating and snow shoeing. Les Gets is part of the immense Portes du Soleil ski area and has an excellent snow record. Plenty of ski schools provide excellent tuition in a variety of languages and make the resort extremely attractive to families.
Travel
We are only just over an hours drive from Geneva airport. During the winter there are many options in terms of airline and departure airports in the UK. We are 8 hours drive from the Channel Tunnel. For your satellite navigation, the coordinates of the chalet are: N 046? 09.038' E 006? 38.874'. The motorway tolls from Calais to Les Gets currently amount to around 65 euros.

Geneva, Annecy, Chamonix all 1 hours drive. Morzine 10 mins drive, Samoens 15 mins drive.
