'Peace and light in the Heart of Paris' is an apartment in a 17thC building located on the 5th floor, overlooking the Paris roof tops in the centre of Paris. It's just been newly renovated by French architect Caroline Henschel, and has all the modern conveniences, minimalistic look, whilst retaining it's Paris charm with the 17thC ceiling beams to give it a cosy feeling. It has a rare balcony with multitudes of plants and flowers which is a lovely space to sit and have your glass of wine under the stars, or your morning croissant and coffee. Hoist it's sail and you have instant shade. The area Sentier/Les Halles is the orginal Paris Fashion district, and market place, and now is the new trendy area of Paris (becoming car free) with rue Montorgeuil 2 minutes walk away, with it's many bars, restaurants, fromageries etc. Walk to the Louvre in 15mins; Georges Pompidou 15min; 2 mins walk to 3 metros including Strasbourg St.Denis - direct link to Eurostar (Gare du Nord).

Changeover day
Changeover day is entirely flexible. Arrival time is after 3pm and departure time is before midday. However depending on our bookings, and your travel arrangements, we are happy to fit in with your plans if it is possible.

Brand new towels and linen are included, and property is professionally cleaned (sheets ironed) before each visitor, and depending on length of visit, cleaning and sheet and towel replacement can be organised on demand. |
Notes on accommodation
Fully air-conditioned and centrally heated. International phone calls are FREE, as is INTERNET ACCESS. There is a blow up bed available for children if they don't wish to share the 2nd double bed together.

Accessibility
Unfortunately our apartment is not suitable for wheelchairs as we are on the 5th floor (without a lift). Stairs are otherwise manageable (and good for the health!).
Outside
The garden balcony is a main feature of the apartment and is lovely to sit out under the stars, overlooking the Paris streets and rooftops.
Special interest holidays
In the trendy Rue Montotgueil area, we are within walking distance of everything. Paris's major museums, (15 mins to the Louvre, 15 mins to the Georges Pompidou Centre, 15 mins Palais Royal, 25 mins Notre Dame,) great shopping Rue Etienne Marcel 10 mins, the Marais 20 mins. 2 min walk to metro (Bonne Nouvelle) which takes you directly (4 stops) to Gallery Lafayette. PLUS, you'll be surrounded by the trendy bars and restaurants of Rue Montorgueil, a 3 min walk. We're walking distance (15 mins) to a large cinema complex, swimming pool, several gyms and catherdrals (St. Eustache 10 mins, with Europe's biggest organ and weekly performances of rare music (free) sung by Les Chanteurs de St. Eustache.

Convenient to all major transport.
3 metro stations within 2 minute walk, including Strasbourg St. Denis - 4 stops to Eurostar terminal. 10 min walk to Chatelet/Les Halles RER - 40 mins to CDG aeroport on the RER B.

Further details
Rue Montorgeuil - fit for the Queen of England! When Her Majesty visited Paris a few years back she visited Rue Montorgueil for Stohrer's world famous chocolate and patisseries. Her Majesty also visited the large church at the end of rue Montorgueil, St. Eustache where she went and heard Europe's biggest and most unique organ, played by the Master Jean Guillou! On a practical note, there is an ATM in the street next to us, and there are ample supermarkets very close by, including the farmers markets on Thursdays and Sundays, where fresh local produce can be found. There is also Naturalia in rue Montorgueil for organic food.
Booking notes
To confirm a booking, we ask for 1/3 of total payment. Balance of payment is due 6 weeks prior to arrival, (unless the booking is done within these 6 weeks, in which case, timing of the balance of payment, will be based on the individual booking). There is also a 300 euro security deposit which can be given upon arrival and returned at the end of your visit.
