Les Challonnieres is a beautiful half-timbered cottage built in approximately 1750, set in half an acre of enclosed gardens including an orchard with apple, pear and damson trees. It is situated about 2 miles from the local village of Lonlay L'abbaye with its bakers, butchers, post office, mini supermarket, and 4 miles from the medieval town of Domfront which has all the shops you could want including 2 supermarkets. The cottage has been tastefully restored yet retains all the character including oak beams and a huge stone chimney so typical of the area. It is furnished to an exceptionally high standard and provides every home comfort.
