Our recently built duplex apartment, right in the heart of Carteret, is the height of luxury. It has 2 en-suite bedrooms, underfloor heating, 3 balconies and electric shutters on all large windows. With it's porthole style windows and wooden-decked balconies the apartment has been designed with the feel of a transatlantic passenger liner, and has been equipped with the highest quality, modern furnishings. And don't forget the sea view! Across the road is a wonderful boulangerie where you can buy baguettes and your morning croissaints only minutes after coming out of the oven. Next door is an epicerie with an Aladdin's cave full of quality French produce. Top class restaurants, such as La Marine, are also right on your doorstep. The clean sandy beach is only 5 minutes walk away with plenty of space for everyone. A weekly market takes place just 100m away. Then you have the 1930s tourist train, marina and trips to Jersey. Just park the car and forget it for the week!

Changeover day
Bookings are normally taken from Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. These rules are not rigid and if you need to arrive on a different day please ask.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is equipped with a modern double bed, two bedside cabinets and reading lamps. Double doors lead onto a private south facing balcony with a view of the sea. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, two bedside cabinets and reading lamps. |
| Bathrooms: | En-suite bathroom to bedroom 1 with large bath, double sink vanity unit, large mirror and toilet. Hair dryer. En-suite shower room to bedroom 2 has a built in shower and vanity sink unit with mirror and lights. Hair dryer. Separate WC downstairs. |
| Kitchen: | The modern kitchen has everything you need with a built in oven, modern hob, coffee machine, kettle, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Good quality cutlery and crockery has also been supplied. There is also a combined washing machine and tumble dryer. |
| Living Rooms: | Lounge/dining room with leather sofa, stone coffee table, flat screen television with both English and French channels plus DVD player. The solid stone dining table has enough room to seat six people. Double doors lead onto a massive sunny balcony. Games. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels and bedlinen are provided. The apartment will be cleaned to a very high standard and made ready for your arrival. There is a £30 cleaning fee for this service. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment has underfloor heating and is suitable all year round. It has been furnished to the highest quality so that your stay will be completely relaxing.
Outside
The apartment has 3 balconies in total. From the lounge double doors lead onto a massive south facing balcony that spans the entire width of the apartment. Out here you will find plenty of tables and chairs to dine alfresco. The master bedroom has it's own private balcony with table and chairs. At the rear of the apartment there is a balcony overlooking the main Carteret street. Take a cup of coffee out here and watch the world go by.
Coast/Beach
The clean sandy beach is only five minutes walk away with plenty of space for everyone. If you you want a coffee or a snack, the restaurant La Potiniere, with it's lovely sun terrace, is right on the sand. Each year Carteret is granted the 'European Blue Flag' for the quality of its beaches and its sailing harbour.
Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course at St Jean De La Riviere, only 3 miles away.
Travel
Cherbourg ferry port is only 20 miles away.
Distances
Portbail is only 5 miles away.
Barneville is only 1 mile away.
