Furnished to high standard, with great views, Geneva transfer just over an hour. 2 great restaurant/bars within 30 seconds walk of apartment. Supermarket/ski hire within 1 minute walk. Regular bus link to Morzine and Les Gets. Swimming pool in Morizine (10 mins drive). Golf (in Les Gets) is 15 mins drive away. Lake Montriond is 5km away for fishing, sailing and swimming. Lake Geneva (30 mins) for great lakeside restaurants and swimming in Evian.

Accessibility
Unfortunately the apartment is on the second floor with no lift so it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Coast/Beach
You can swim in Lake Montriond (5km away) or Lake Geneva (30 mins drive away). There are also family pools at Morzine (10 mins drive) and the famous French town of Evian (30 mins drive).
Golf
There are several golf courses in the area including the high altitude mountain courses of Les Gets and Avoriaz as well as others towards Geneva.
Skiing
The property is 30mtrs from the nearest ski lift with access to 40km of runs and ski to door. This is a great area for beginners to intermediate skiers as it is quiet and family orientated, some good off piste for expert skiers too. For the largest ski area in the world take the bus or jump in the car to the nearest lift which is only 10 minutes away. The Portes Du Soliel allows you to ski over to Switzerland or explore the other French resorts.
Travel
Fly and then drive is the best option (car advised), although it's about the same drive from the UK as to SW France.
Flying:That's why Portes du Soliel is great, it's a piece of cake, no 3 hour transfers: Geneva is just over 1 hour drive away (including Easyjet, Jet2, BMI Baby, Flybe, British Airways and KLM). Lyon 2 hours 15 mins drive (Including Ryanair, Easyjet, BA and more). The drive from Calais takes about 8.5 - 9 hours and is motorway all the way apart from the last 20 mins.

Evian 30 mins. Geneva 1 hour 15 mins. Annecy 1 hour 30 mins.

Further details
The advantage of the small resort is that not only is it peaceful but absolutely everything you need is within seconds walking distance of the apartment: ski hire is under the apartment, 4 bar/restaurants are within 30 secs walk, there is a supermarket nearby also and a bigger one 5 mins drive towards Morzine.
Booking notes
Prices are based on 6 adults sharing although 3 couples plus with 3 kids of 'cot' age is easily done. Totally flexible on bookings, ask about long weekends or longer stays. £200 refundable deposit required to secure booking and to serve as breakages deposit, to be refunded within 2 weeks of return. Full payment for rental required 6 weeks prior to departure. Enquire for late availibility rates.
