This part of the French Riviera has some of the clearest and cleanest seas in the Mediterranean, the warmest water for swimming, and warm weather lasting from May through to October.

Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday with arrival between 4pm and 7pm and departure by 10am.

Notes on accommodation
No pets allowed and no smoking please. As there are steps and a sloping part to the garden the villa may be unsuitable for young children and the infirm. It is recommended that you have full insurance for your party for the whole rental period.
Outside
Situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac, the villa is protected with electric security double gates and its own private driveway. There is a sparkling 11x4m clear chlorine free salt sanitation pool with a safety alarm surrounded by terracotta terracing with sun loungers and parasols. The terraced gardens are well maintained with native plants, flowers and trees and the gardens to the rear of the property are currently being landscaped and planted. There are several terraced areas both open and covered with tables and seating with access from each of the bedrooms.
Coast/Beach
There are several delightful beaches close by - the nearest of which (Le Rayol) is sandy and quiet and which has sun loungers for hire and a beach side restaurant. A few minutes away by car is the beach at Canadel (beach club) and also Cavaliere with sailing school, jet ski, cycle hire, snorkeling, windsurfing, water skiing, tennis courts and boating facilities as well as bars and restaurants. In between are many other peaceful and more lively beaches with bars/restaurants and music.
Travel
Toulon (Hyeres) Airport is less than an 45 minute drive away (bus service also) with daily flights via Ryanair from Stansted. Nice (Cote d’Azur) Airport is just over 100km away and is served by many airlines including British Airways every few hours and by Easyjet from seven different UK airports. La Mole private aerodrome is less than 10 km away. The railway station is at Toulon. A hire car is easy to book at either airport or locally at Le Lavandou if one way or part term hire is required.
Distances
Le Rayol Canadel is situated almost half way between Nice and Marseilles and is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Saint Tropez and its famous yachts, fashionable shops and exciting twice weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday) is less than 30 minutes away – a great place to sit with a cool drink and watch the world go by. The nearest town is 10 minutes away at Cavalaire-sur-Mer with full facilities and many shops.
Further details
The local village of Le Rayol Canadel is a short walk from the villa and has a supermarket, bakery, la boucherie (with delicious ready prepared meals), hairdresser, newsagency, doctor’s surgery, post office, bank, tourist office and pharmacy as well as restaurants and bars. Other markets held on various days of the week are in Rayol itself (Friday), Canadel (Tuesday), Le Lavandou (Thursday), Cavalaire (Wednesday) and Cavaliere (Monday). Some of the most famous restaurants on the French Riviera coast include the Le Sud (10 minutes) and in the village itself – the Relais des Maures and Maurin des Maures. The well known hilltop villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle with their excellent restaurants overlooking the bay of Saint Tropez are within 20 kms.
The famous gardens at Le Domaine du Rayol are walkable with summer concerts at the Jardin Botanique and its world famous arboretum and plants from around the globe. Inland are the magnificent Massif des Maures hills with undiscovered quaint villages and places to discover including the Chartreuse de la Verne Monastry, horse riding and trekking, vineyards, local artists workshops and even a tortoise sanctuary.
The beautiful and protected island of Porquerolles is reached by short regular ferry service from the nearby town of Hyeres. No cars are allowed but there is bike hire or you can take a leisurely hike and take in the views, the scented flora, the pure white sandy beaches and crystal clear seas. There is an excellent scuba diving school on the island. The smaller islands can be visited by boat from Le Lavandou and have excellent snorkeling and marine, butterfly and insect reserves.

A booking form can be emailed or posted to you. A 25% non refundable deposit and a completed booking form are required to confirm any booking with the balance plus a security deposit of £500 to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. We would suggest that you have adequate insurance to cover any potential loss should you not be able to take up your booking.
