Set in a beautiful south facing mountain valley, the villa enjoys stunning views of Mount Canigou being in the village of Fuilla de Bas. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, this historic region has the best weather of Southern France. Besides extensive year round outdoor pursuits, there is much to see and do locally and this is a true 4 season holiday destination. The lovely market town of Prades, medieval fortified town of Villefranche de Conflent and the spa town of Vernet le Bains are all less than 10 minutes away. Further afield, the Mediterranean coast is 45 minutes distant. While in the winter a selection of ski resorts, including Pyrenees 2000, Les Angles and Font Romeu are only 40 minutes drive away and there, even in Summer, there is much to see and do. Also close by is scenic inland Northern Spain. A bit further on, but still easily doable as a day trip is Andorra which has a huge range of tax free bargains. All in all this is an area of great beauty and variety.

Changeover day
A Saturday changeover day is preferred but may be negotiable outside the summer months. On day of changeover please depart by 1000 and arrive not before 1700. Thank you.

Accessibility
Not adapted for wheelchair users, however the bath has a portable support that has been especially designed for people with limited mobilty.
Outside
The garden is a good size and has a 9m long unheated swimming pool which opens mid May to early October. Around the pool there is a large patio and excellent sunbathing areas, BBQ, games and outdoor furniture. The villa has a large front drive which is gated.
Coast/Beach
There are excellent, white sand, Med beaches, at Canet Plage and St Cyprien only 45 minutes drive from the villa. Slightly further afield are the scenic sea side towns of Argeles and Collioure.
Skiing
Various ski resorts, including Pyrenees 2000, Les Angles and Font Romeu are 40-45 minutes away. At those resorts, which suit all types of skiers, it is possible to park adjacent to the ski lifts and the runs themselves are never crowded.
Travel
Perpignan airport is the closest, being only 40 minutes drive. Both Caracassone and Girona (N Spain) are also close being 75 and 90 minutes distance. Ryan Air and Fly Be offer the most services. The villa is some 10 hours drive from the Channel Ports.
Distances
The lovely market town and regional centre of Prades, medieval fortified town of Villefranche de Conflent and the spa town of Vernet le Bains are all less than 10 mins away. The Med coast and Ski Resorts are both 45 mins or less. Spain is one hour and Andorra 90 minutes drive.
Booking notes
Upon booking a 20% rental deposit is due. The remainder of the rental fee, along with a £180 damage deposit, must be paid no later than 10 weeks before the holiday.
