High quality, award-winning chalet with sauna to relax your post-skiing muscles. We have passionate chefs offering delicious, nutritious and filling food. Vegetarians catered for with equal care and avidity. Wine is included with your evening meals. Flexible and friendly hosts who love the mountains and are there to answer any questions, quash any fears and help you with any aspect of your holiday. We can advise on ski passes and can help arrange ski or snowboard lessons and childcare. Two days ski hosting and one evenings babysitting included. A fun, sociable atmosphere for groups, families, couples or individuals. Peaceful location. Free parking. TV with DVD player and a variety of films and board games. We have one travel cot, one baby car seat and one high chair available for guest use. The chalet is non-smoking. Ashtrays are provided on the balconies. We also request that you remove your outdoor shoes at the entrance of the chalet.

Notes on prices
Children under 2 years old free. Children over 2 years old sleeping in a travel cot £60. Children under 15 years occupying a bed: £50 off adult price. If you book the whole chalet before the end of February 2012, we will give you 10% off plus a free packed lunch every day!
Changeover day
Our holidays run from Saturday to Saturday.
Notes on accommodation
Price includes: accommodation, linen, towels, buffet style and full English cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, coffee and cakes. Six 4 course evening meals including wine. Two day's ski hosting. One evening's babysitting.
Price does not include: Flights, transfers, travel insurance, ski/snowboard equipment hire, ski passes or childcare.
All facilities are present for half board catering for 16 people. Ski locker room. Large open, central fireplace, widescreen TV, DVD player, games console, ample seating. Sauna and hot tub. Towels and linen changed twice a week.
Outside
We will:
- Collect your ski passes and bring them to your chalet;
- Accompany you to collect your ski hire equipment;
- Book you a restaurant of your choice for your chalet host’s night off;
- Help you book your ski or snowboard lessons;
- Help you book your childcare;
- Be on hand to answer any questions about the resort and ensure you have a perfect holiday, whether it be exhilarating or relaxing.
The chalet is only 150m away from the Le Bettaix chairlift.
Skiing
Ski hosting: We will accompany you on the piste for 2 days of your holiday to ensure you get the most out of the resort. They can show you the best runs, where to go to avoid queues, warn you when there’s a flat bit coming up so you can pick up some speed, introduce you to the best restaurants and generally save you from having to have your head buried in a piste map so that you can relax and enjoy the stunning views.
Special interest holidays
Our chalet is situated in the picturesque and traditional village of Le Bettaix, just a few minutes from the centre of Les Menuires (pronounced Men-weer). Le Bettaix is two chair lifts or a 6 minute car trip from the centre of Les Menuires.
Le Bettaix has its own chair lift giving you easy access to the whole of the Three Valleys ski area, while retaining a peaceful atmosphere. Every morning you will be driven from the chalet door to the La Bettaix chairlift so that you can start your day with the greatest of ease. At the end of the day you can either ski the blue run back to Le Bettaix, or we will collect you from Les Menuires in our minibus (if appropriate).
Les Menuires is also just two lifts from Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe, guaranteeing you snow from before Christmas until after Easter.
Travel
The Three Valleys and Les Menuires are close to several international airports (Chambery 120km, Geneva 145km, Lyon 180km), and we can book your airport transfers for you.
Les Menuires is approximately 600 miles from Calais. The total journey time is approximately 9 hours and will cost you about €60 in tolls each way.
If you live near London, the overnight Snow Train can be a convenient method of travel. You can catch it at London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet International in Kent.

Les Menuires and Val Thorens are 6 and 14 mins drive away from the chalet respectively.

Catering: our chalet hosts are experienced cooks with a passion for great food and we hope you will enjoy the meals they prepare for you in the evenings as much as you do your daytime pursuits. We proudly cater for vegetarians with equal care and avidity. At your request the chalet hosts will provide children with a simpler evening meal at the earlier time of 6pm. Unless requested otherwise, the main evening meal will be served at 7pm. Sample menu: breakfast - full english cooked breakfast, french bread, croissants and pain au chocolat with butter, jam and honey, yogurts, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, porridge, cereals, tea, coffee, juices. Afternoon tea - home made chocolate brownies, fresh fruit, french bread, jams tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Children’s high tea - shepherds pie with peas and carrots, ice cream. Evening meal - mixed salad with smoked salmon and star shaped croutons, chicken, leek and parsley pie, roast vegetable and feta pie (vegetarian), potatoes dauphinoise, fried savoy cabbage, lemon possett, red, rosé and white wine, fresh coffee, cheeseboard. Chalet host’s day off: - one day a week guests will help themselves to breakfast which the chalet hosts will have laid out for them the night before. Your chalet host will book you into a restaurant of your choice for the evening. Our chalets are situated just a short taxi ride from the alps’ only michelin starred restaurant. Should you be certain before arriving in the resort that you would like to eat there on your chalet host’s night off, please let us know in advance so that we can reserve your table. We offer one evening of babysitting during your holiday. You are free to arrange which evening you would like to make use of this service with your chalet host upon arrival. Please note however that we do not expect chalet hosts to fulfill this duty on their day off and they would only do so at their own discretion.
Booking notes
Contact us on details as below to confirm availability. Bookings will be held for 5 days pending the receipt of a completed booking form and deposit. The deposit is £100 per person. No deposit is required for children not occupying beds. The balance will need to be paid at least 8 weeks before the commencement of your holiday.

About the owner
Rhian went to Bordeaux International School between the ages of 16 and 19 and fell in love with France then, while I'm a keen skier. We'd wanted to move to France since 2005, but had no idea how we could earn a living - Rhian was a printing company line manager and I was a commercial manager in a defence company, and neither of us wanted to do that kind of work in France. Then, in March 2007, I visited the Portes du Soleil ski area (near Geneva) on holiday and realised that the small tour operator I was staying with didn't actually own the chalet they used – they rented it. Suddenly the idea of having our own small tour operator business in the ski industry became a possibility (and now a reality!)
