Safe for small children with safety stair gates and an enclosed garden. There is a large trampoline, swings and a coppice for playing soccer and badminton. 5 minutes drive to supermarkets, boulangerie, post office, bank, bars and restaurants, 20 mins drive to Dol de Bretagne, Mont St. Michel and Combourg, 40 minutes drive to the most beautiful beaches.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday but can be flexible during mid- and low season.

| Kitchen: | Well-equipped kitchen with terracotta tiled floor, huge granite fireplace, large dining table with chairs, Godin gas cooker with oven and grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker. |
| Living Rooms: | Cheerful sitting room with 2 sofas, armchairs, TV and Radio-DVD/CD player. |
| Other: | Large ‘library’/playroom with a lot of French and English books, games and a sofa which can be turned into a bed. The furniture is a mixture of antique broquante and modern. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All bedlinen, duvets and pillows are included. Towels can be provided at extra cost. An obligated final clean is not included in the rental charges. The charge for this is 45 euro to pay for at departure. |
Notes on accommodation
Very suitable for small children because of the enclosed garden and the safety stairgates. There is central heating so the house is suitable to rent in winter too.
Accessibility
Possibility to sleep downstairs and one bathroom downstairs.
Outside
The lovely secluded garden from over 3500sqm gives a beautiful view at the valley of the river Couesnon and the market town Antrain. The garden is completely surrounded by old stone walls and hedges and has 2 gates which can be closed. Old fruit trees take care for shadow and there is a coppice for playing soccer and badminton (net and rackets are there) or jeu de boules (also there!). A large trampoline and swings will provide fun for the children and a paddling pool is available for the youngest. There is a complete garden furniture with a large wooden table, chairs, bank, sun loungers and parasol and a B.B.Q. In the barn you find two good bikes with gears.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful coastline between Cancale and St. Malo is 40 mins drive. Here you find rocky cliffs such as Pointe du Grouin and magnificent sheltered sandy beaches. One of our favourite beaches is Plage du Verger near Cancale. Cancale itself is well-known for its shellfish harbour and its excellent sea food restaurants.
Golf
5 golf courses are within a hour’s drive. The famous golf course at Chateau d'Ormes is at 25 mins drive.
Travel
Dinard airport served by Ryan air is at 45 mins and offers car hire. Easy driving from the ferry ports of St. Malo (45 mins), Cherbourg 2¼ hours and Caen 2 hours. Calais/Boulogne at 5 hours drive.
Distances
The market town Antrain is about 1 mile. Here you find a post office, 2 supermarkets and 2 outstanding bakery/patisseries. Well worth a visit are the picturesque Old Quarters of Dinan 40 mins, Vitré and Rennes 35 mins, the walled city of St. Malo 40 mins, Fougères with its large medieval castle 25 mins, Dinard with its super beaches and Anglican church 45 mins and Bayeux Cathedral with the world famous Bayeux Tapestry and the D-day Beaches and Museums in Normandie 1½ - 2 hours.
Further details
About 2 mins walk there is a public tennis court free to play tennis. It is 3 miles to the forest of Villecartier where you can make lovely walks, have a picnic or hire an electric boat to make a tour at the little lake. You will also find here adventure circuits high up in the trees for children and adults (Parc des grands Chenes).
