La Croix Rompue - The holiday cottage, set in an acre of garden, has been totally renovated by French artisans. With the open fire and convector heating the cottage is cosy all year round. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Only 40 minutes drive from Cherbourg ferry port and right on the doorstep of many of Normandy`s best attactions such as the DDay Landing Beaches and Mont Saint Michel. There are literally miles of empty beaches close by, and don`t forget to visit the historic market towns of Bricquebec and Saint Sauveur. We will be there to welcome you on your arrival and will always be available to give help and friendly advice throughout your stay. La Croix Rompue is easy to reach, but hard to leave.

Changeover day
Bookings are normally taken from Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. These rules are not rigid and if you need to arrive on a different day please ask.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Upstairs are two comfotable twin bedrooms. Each bedroom has 2 single beds, 2 bedside cabinets, dresser and mirror. |
| Bathrooms: | The cottage has two separate toilets and a bathroom. At the top of the stairs is a toilet with WC, hand basin and mirror. In downstairs bathroom you will find a bath/shower, wash basin, hair dryer, dresser, and mirror. Next door is a separate toilet. |
| Kitchen: | The well equipped kitchen has a cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave, dining table to seat six, good quality crockery and cutlery. |
| Living Rooms: | In the lounge there is a large open fire, comfy 3 piece suite, television with plenty of videos to watch, books and loads of games. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels and bed linen are provided. The cottage will be cleaned to a very high standard and made ready for your arrival. There is a £30 cleaning fee for this service. |

Outside
The cottage is set in a garden of about 1 acre. The area is so peaceful you could spend all day relaxing amongst the three large oak trees listening to the birds and animals. For the more energetic there are lots of outdoor games to amuse you.
There is a stone built barbecue for those sunny evenings. Plenty of tables and chairs to dine alfresco.
Come and say hello to the animals in our little mini park. We’ve got miniature rabbits, a miniature goat and even a miniature sheep called Flossie. They are all very friendly and love meeting new children.
Across the road we have a two acre field. Depending on the time of year a local farmer keeps horses, cattle and calves or sheep in there. All the locals are very friendly and are happy to show you their animals or teach you a bit about life on a farm.
Coast/Beach
The beach is only a few minutes drive away at Barneville Carteret or Portbail.
Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course at St Jean De La Riviere, only 5 miles away.
Special interest holidays
Scrapbooking - We run regular weekly scrapbooking classes to local French ladies. All guests in the cottage are welcome to join in free of charge, just bring your photos.
Travel
Cherbourg ferry port is only 21 miles away.
