One bedroom ground floor apartment in Les Carroz. Ski right back to the apartment (snow conditions permitting). Breakfast on hot croissants from the bakery 3 mins walk, lunch by an open fire in a mountain hut, dine in the evening in one of the many lovely village restaurants within walking distance and enjoy the festive lights on the walk back in the crisp fresh air.

Saturdays are the normal changeover day. This is flexible during the low seasons when weekend and short stay rentals are available.

Living Rooms: The living area opens out onto the balcony; comfortably furnished with a sofa, dining table and chairs, and a chest of drawers. The bunk beds fold out from the wall (the upper bunk is not suitable for young children). TV and CD player/radio.
Other: Large (3sq.m) south facing balcony with lovely views. Table and chairs supplied for the balcony. Secure ski locker in basement.

Notes on accommodation
Most suited to family of 4. Heating is by individual electric radiators. All heating costs are included.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchairs or people with mobility problems.

Outside
Parking spaces for Les Lutins residents are available 100m from the apartment uphill towards the gondola.

Golf
Golf at Flaine 15 mins drive. Course open from May to September.

Skiing
The apartment is 300m from the gondola; snow conditions allowing you can put on your skis by the apartment, ski to a drag lift and from the top of the drag ski down directly to the gondola. This takes you up to 1700m and into the Grand Massif circuit. The circuit includes Flaine, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt. Many of the lifts are modern gondolas or rapid multi seated chairs. You can also ski back to the apartment. Ski hire shops and the ski school office are within 50m of the apartment.

Travel
Geneva airport is approximately one hour away from the resort. There are local taxi companies who will pick up from the airport or a weekly coach during the ski season. The drive from Calais takes approximately 9 hours - mostly motorways. Car hire or use of car is not necessary if you are content to ski or walk around Les Carroz. However if you wish to visit other areas use of a car is recommended.

Distances
Geneva and Annecy with their lovely lakes are less than an hour. Chamonix and the Portes de Soleil are less than three-quarters of an hour. Historic Samoens is 30 mins drive.

Further details
Les Carroz has a church, a cinema, tourist office, banks, doctors clinic, pharmacy, hairdressers, ski hire shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, post office, art gallery, craft shops, bakeries, local produce and charcuterie shops, clothing shops and newagents as well as a produce and clothing market every Tuesday. The apartment is 300m from the centre of the village and only 50m from the nearest restaurant - the Poirier which has lots of atmosphere and 100m from the bakery - you'll be back in the apartment with the baguette still warm!

Booking notes
Contact the owners (details below). A booking form will be sent to you and must be returned with a deposit of £200. Final payment due 8 weeks before rental. Refundable damages deposit £200 If booking is cancelled before date of rental, deposit will be refunded less adminstration charge of £25. For cancellation after final payment date refunds will only be effected if the apartment is relet less administration costs.

John and Anne Simmonds. At present living in Berkshire with youngest son (at university). We have 3 sons, 2 married and 2 grandchildren. John is semi retired from 30 years in the motor industry and Anne works in the financial industry. We both love sunshine, skiing, golf and John is an accomplished marathon runner.
