Something Special and Different is how we would describe our chalet which is situated in a beautiful unspoilt village,and is perfect for a Winter or Summer holiday. In Winter we are only 4 mins drive from the ski lift in Villaroger to access Paradiski (425km of pistes and 143 lifts), with Val D'Isere/Tignes, Ste Foy and La Rosiere a short drive away enabling you to ski 7 different resorts during your stay if you wanted to .In Summer we have fabulous walking, mountain biking, golf, rafting , climbing, etc, with great scenery and weather. Away from the hustle and bustle of commercialised resorts we offer a true 'home from home' where guests return year on year. We pride ourselves on the warm and friendly atmosphere that has been created. All bedrooms are good sized and are en-suite and there is an outdoor hot tub.
Winter is fully catered and prices are per person. We take bookings for any number of people, ie you don't have to take over the whole chalet. Summer is Self Catering!

Notes on prices
Above relates to weekend changeovers but we are flexible and can change arrival dates. December - April prices are for the property per person per week fully catered inc ALL drinks, nightly rate from £69 pp minimum stay 2 nights for those wanting a short break/long w/end. 20% discount for children 4 - 14 years, under 3's only £95 when sharing room with parents. No need to book the whole chalet,bookings taken for 2 people or more. May - November price is for the whole chalet self catering.
Changeover day
We are totally flexible on arrival dates. Arrive and leave any day of the week! During the summer arrivals are before 10am or after 4pm.

Chalet Le Loissel - summer (self catering)

The chalet is 4 bedrooms sleeping max of 11 people. Bedroom 1: double bed with en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. Bedroom 2: twin beds with en-suite bathroom with bath and wc. 1st floor - large open plan kitchen/dining room and living area with log burning stove, wood floors and comfy chairs. There is a CD player and DVD player for your enjoyment. The patio doors lead onto a terrace with out-door hot tub, BBQ and garden furniture. Bedroom 4: 3 single beds with extensive views over the Beaufort mountains and the villages below. En-suite bathroom with walk in shower. Bedroom 5: Twin beds and bunk beds (sleeps 4). En-suite bathroom with walk in shower. All rooms are furnished to a high standard and are large compared to other Chalets. |

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms are spacious. There is underfloor heating on the ground floor. The kitchen has oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. During the summer the chalet is offered on a self catering basis (4 bedrooms sleeping 11),for as little as £50 pp for the week. Meals can be provided at an extra cost. Please ask for further details.
Outside
The outdoor hot tub is situated on the terrace and is the perfect place to finish off the day with a glass of wine or a gin and tonic. There is a gas BBQ and table and chairs. The mountains and scenery make it a stunning place to relax.
Coast/Beach
We have a lake within 20 mins drive which has a beach, cafe, children's play area, picnic tables, high adventure course (adults and children) and is safe for bathing (see photo). The outdoor and indoor pools of Bourg St Maurice are only 15 mins away. The lake and pool of Tignes a 30 min drive away. Many of the restaurants close by have their own pools too. Lake Annecy and its Medieval town( is only 1.5 hrs from the chalet and is a must to see.
Golf
The highest golf course in Europe can be found in Tignes, a 25 minute drive from the chalet. There is also a golf course at Arc 1800 and another at La Rosiere, a short drive away. With a fabulous backdrop of the mountains, and breathtaking scenery golfing reaches another level.
Skiing
We are totally surrounded by fabulous skiing. Paradiski ski area (Les Arcs/La Plagne) with 425km of pistes and 143 lifts is only 4 mins drive away, with Val D'Isere/Tignes, Ste foy and La Rosiere a further 15/20 mins drive.
You will never get bored here and are able to ski different resorts during your stay with us, which is not possible if you book a package tour. Check out the weather and conditions and pick the right resort for the day!

We can offer catered holidays during June and September for walking and fishing holidays.
Travel
Make use of cheap flights and fly into Chambery (1.5hrs away), Grenoble (2 hrs away), Lyon and Geneva (2hrs away). Hire a car from the airport , have a look on www.travelsupermarket.com for cheap flights and car hire. Drive from the UK and we are 10 hrs from Calais.
Distances
We are 10 mins drive from our local bar in Villaroger where we end after a days skiing. Le Monal bar and restaurant is only a 10 min drive away. The town of Bourg St Maurice is 15 min drive away.
Further details
Skis and boots can be delivered and collected directly to the chalet, meaning no queuing in shops and you can hit the slopes without delay.
During the summer there are endless activities to keep you busy. You can summer ski on the glacier in Tignes (July and Aug), white water rafting, mountain biking (lifts open in July and Aug), climbing, riding, high adventure courses, walking,parapenting to name a few.
Great restaurants close at hand, some with their own swimming pool.
Olympic size swimming pool indoor and outdoor in Bourg St Maurice and a lake with play area only 20 mins drive away.
Lake Annecy is only a 1.5 hr drive away and a must if you are in the area.
Booking notes
We require a £100 pp deposit on any bookings. Bookings are not secure until the deposit has been received. Deposits are non-refundable. Final balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
We are totally flexible about arrival dates, meaning you can make use of the midweek flights. Arrive and leave any day(minimum stay 2 nights). We specialise in short breaks and long weekends at affordable prices.

About the owner
Jonny and I own and run the chalet. We moved here over 6 years ago from the UK with our 2 girls Anneha and Ffion. We fell in love with the area whilst working together as chalet hosts for a ski company in La Plagne and Val D'Isere before we had the girls. We moved back to the UK but missed our 'life in the mountains'. We finally purchased a barn 8 years ago and Jonny renovated it into the home and chalet we have today. We love our life out here, the fact we have two definite seasons, great skiing, and great Summers with lots to do. We think we have picked a beautiful place to bring up our 2 girls. We hope we have created a true home from home in a beautiful French Alpine village where people arrive as guests but leave as friends! We want you to come back and our service reflects that!

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We bought here due to our love of the Tarentaise Valley and skiing, and if you had to pin point on a Map of this area the best place to stay to enjoy the best skiing in this Valley, Villaroger would be the place. We soon realised that we live somewhere which is equally as good in the Summer, with lovely weather and lots of activities close by. The village is typically French, not commercialised in any way, with beautiful scenery and views. It has a true sense of Community, not a ghost town as so many ski resorts can be out of season. Close to Bourg St Maurice, everything is easily accessible. We have the best of both worlds, fabulous skiing and beautiful summers!!!
