Situated between two of Provence's prettiest hill top villages, Fayence and Seillans, this villa is located down a cul-de-sac and set in its own private grounds of 5000m2 with olive, orange and lemon trees. It is built to an exceptionally high standard in the traditional provencale style with terracotta terraces, wooden shutters, bull's eye windows and a terraced garden. A private swimming pool 11x5m is built on a terrace below the house and visible from both outside terraces. The interior of the property is exceptionally spacious and since it faces south, light and airy throughout. There are three garages.

Notes on accommodation
The villa may not be suitable for people with mobility problems because the main accommodation is on the lower level, accessed by a staircase, and the swimming pool is on a terrace below, accessed down two short sets of steps. Children are welcome.
Accessibility
Because it is built on two levels, we regret that the property is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The pool is 11x5m and is private. It is usually open from May to October and is maintained weekly by Pierre, our local ‘guardien’. Surrounding the pool is a natural stone beach area equipped with six sun loungers, umbrellas and umbrella bases and sunlounger cushions. On the dining terrace, which remains at least partly shaded throughout the year, there is a mosaic topped dining table and plenty of outside chairs with cushions. A wooden table normally kept in the salon can be taken outside to the guest wing terrace for dedicated sun worshippers.
Coast/Beach
In normal traffic conditions the coast is a 35 min drive away, but please be aware that in the summer the Cote d'Azur can be a traffic nightmare. Out of season however visits to the beaches at Cannes, Frejus, Antibes etc. are very pleasant.
Golf
There are a number of excellent golf courses including the recently opened Domaine de Terre Blanche (a Four Seasons resort) which has two 18-hole courses that can be played by visitors, and the Domaine de St Endreol at La Motte.
Skiing
You can get to Isola 2000 or the Foux d'Allos/Pra Loup ski areas but these are a 2 hour drive.
Travel
Nice is the nearest airport, one hour's drive away. Other easily accessible airports are Toulon (1.5 hours) and Marseille (2 hours.) Total driving time from Calais sticking to the speed limit throughout is between 11 and 12 hours depending on the traffic in Lyons. A car is essential for this property, and they can be hired at any of the above airports.
Distances
You can walk to both Fayence and Seillans from the villa, both are very pleasant walks and take around 30 mins (Fayence) and 60 mins (Seillans). Driving to either village will take around 10 mins. There are plenty of other places to visit and walks ranging from the gentle to the challenging. You will find details of all these in a file in the villa.
Further details
Restaurants - where to start? Our ‘local’ (walking distance) is Le Castellaras, which has one Michelin star. There are two other starred restaurants close by and myriad other family run establishments serving food that is often as good - and some might say better. Emphasis is very much on local produce and wines. There are small supermarkets in both Fayence and Seillans as well as the traditional bakeries/patisseries, butchers etc and Fayence has a colourful market three times a week with excellent fruit and vegetables, cheeses and hams etc. Two large supermarket chains have big shops at nearby Tourettes which also has a farmers' market (daily in summer) selling terrific local produce. Leisure activities abound with riding, tennis, water sports etc all available nearby, however this is not the place to go if you are looking for discotheques and a wild nightlife. Walking is our favourite passtime and you will find local walks well documented by ourselves (and some of our visitors who have discovered new ones) in the file of information in the villa. This also gives you details of local restaurants, places to visit such as the perfumery at Grasse or the abbey at Le Thoronet.
