La Maison du Saut de la Mounine stands alone with no neighbours. Set amidst trees with magnificent panoramic views over a 600' deep horseshoe meander of the river lot incised into the limestone Causse (plateau) de Quercy. It's characterised by a deep sense of peacefulness and tranquillity which appears to be created by a sharp sunlight etching trees, flowers, grass, birds and butterflies in cool, still shadows combined with some mysterious trick of the location.

| Living Rooms: | Salle de Sejour, sofa bed, 2x easy chairs, table for 4 (table for 10 on balcony), dresser with games, paper, pencils, aperitifs! TV, DVD player, books, many relating to the history and natural history of the region. Things to do locally. |
| Other: | The house is equally comfortable for a couple by just using the wide balconies on the first floor as it is for a larger group using the whole house. |

Utilities (except phone), towels and bed linen are included as are some toilet paper, bags, dishwasher tablets etc, but these should be augmented during your stay. House should be left as found. |
Notes on accommodation
We start you off with kitchen and loo roll, dishwasher salt and tablets and bin bags.
The main accommodation is set on the first floor which has wide balconies to front and rear. Meals can be taken in sun or deep shade (often welcome in summer) on the balconies. There is also a garage and workshop on the ground floor.

Accessibility
Unfortunately La Maison du Saut de la mounine has steps up to the first floor balconies and front door and isn't suitable for wheeled access.
Outside
Raised pool 1m deep and radius 4m. Very safe toddlers as sides 1m high. 1 acre fully fenced garden with double gates. Shut in pets and children and relax! Table tennis, swing ball, basketball, badminton, volleyball net, pentaque and football. Swing strike, 4 man canoe (roof-rack required) 5 bikes and miles of quiet tracks and lanes. There is a Gazebo in the garden with table and chairs for afternoon tea (or beer!).
Coast/Beach
It is possible to swim in the River Lot in several locations a short drive away. Canoeing is possible on the Lot and the Célé Rivers. Water ski lessons in Cajarc and several pools, one with chutes.
Travel
Rodez airport 55 mins. Ryan air summer 6 months. Toulouse 100 mins. Bergerac 90 mins. Sea crossings English channel is around 900km. Nice drive if you like cruising down through France.
Distances
Saujac village 5 mins by car. Cajarc small town 10 mins. Villefranche bigger regional town 20 mins. Figeac bigger regional town 25 mins. Cahors not as interesting as you might think 1 hour. Peche Merle cave paintings 30 mins.
Further details
In the Salle de Sejour at La Maison de Saut de la Mounine ther is a huge collection of leaflets detailing all sorts of activities and facilities. Some briefly worthy of mention are nearby stables, caves 10 mins and you can hang-glide/para-glide from the cliff-top in front of the house or for a change, abseil down the cliff and climb back up!

Deposit 15% secures booking. Balance due 8 weeks before your holiday. Damage check £150 returnable. If you want to use phone and/or internet, we just bill you later when Telecom bill arrives.
