Further details
Provence is famed for its mild climate in the winter and long sunny days in the summer. The food and wine are some of the best in France if not the world. There is an abundance of Roman history such as Pont du Gard.
The ampitheatre in Orange and the ruins in Vaison-la-romaine. The area is full of natural history, such as Roussillon, Mont Ventoux, les Grottes du Thor, the Luberon national park, the Carmague complete with its flamingos and bulls. Arles (50km) associated with van Gogh and popular with impressionist painters has an antique ampitheatre and bull fighting ring. Many places have cultural festivals at different times of the year.
Velleron is a charming medieval village. The property is on the edge of the village. Within easy walking distance there are shops, bars, restaurants, take-aways and the famous farmers' market open 6 nights a week in the summer.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, 4km away, is famous for its antiques, restaurants, river and bridges (known as the Venice of Provence). Avignon is only 20km away with original city walls, the Palace of the Popes and the famous "Pont d'Avignon", plus its international theatre festival throughout July.

I just wanted to thank you for renting your place to us, we had a great time and the area was absolutely amazing, we will definitely be revisiting!
The fruit and veg market really was fantastic and we couldn't get over how cheap it was. Fruit and veg will never be the same again.
Just to let you know the house was great and just perfect for the 2 families. The pool was absolutely ideal with the broad steps for the little ones to play on.
We all really loved the house and it was truly home from home.
