This typical Savoyarde Chalet is in a perfect location in the resort of Peisey (altitude 1450m), it's services and the ski lift which links to Les Arcs or La Plagne. You have the choice to take a high speed chair to Les Arcs or cable car to La Plagne via the re-known quaint lobster pot lifts from our village. In the chalet there is a good size lounge with an open fireplace leading out onto a terrace with lovely views. Satellite TV, DVD player, Ipod station and Xbox are provided. There is a dining area seats up to 14 and a separate fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate area to store skis and boots plus a Sauna. We offer lift pass discounts as well as reductions on ski and boot hire. This chalet can be taken on a catered or self catered basis - all prices are quoted for catered per person. Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day however if the chalet is vacant the day before or after we are happy to be flexible.

Accessibility
This chalet is not accessible to wheelchair users because of the access.
Outside
Terrace great for alfresco eating during the summer and also lounging in the sun from beginning of April onwards.
Golf
Summer Only - Les Arcs - approx. 7kms away. We are in the Alps so I imagine this is a challenging course as its on the mountain side!
Skiing
The chalet is in a fabulous location - accessible to the two huge ski areas of Les Arcs and La Plagne, otherwise known as the Paradiski area. There are more than 420 kms of marked pistes as well as the best off-piste areas in the Tarentaise valley. In the local resort, we boast the best tree-lined runs providing shelter and visibility on those white-out days, whilst Les Arcs offers the higher altitude skiing guaranteed snow covered early and late season. Plenty of blue and red runs with the odd challenging black especially the longest one in Europe which goes from the top of the Aiguille Rouge at 3226m down to Villaroger at 1200m. La Plagne offers more intermediate skiing with wide motorway runs but then it also offers glacier skiing at the top of the Bellecote giving access to amazing off-piste! There is something for all levels in this wonderful ski domain

Car Hire is recommended although once in resort you don't really need to leave as all amenities are within walking distance (all be it a limited choice). Transfers from the airports can be arranged.
Self Drive is always the best option to give flexibility.

Peisey centre 4 min walk away. Vallandry (3km). Bourg St. Maurice (station) 14km. Albertville 45 mins. Annecy 1 hour and 30 mins.

Vallandry is a newer resort and has more ski shops aswell as a larger selection of restaurants and bars - it can be connected by day using the liaison lift or by bus at night. There is a cash point here too.
Les Arcs 1800m has more shops and also a bank but can only be accessed by skis during the day.
Booking notes
Bookings to be made by email or phone.
We ask for a deposit of 25% and then the balance is due 10 weeks prior to the date of departure except if the booking is last minute.
An email to confirm your chalet booking will be sent once we have received the deposit. Once the balance has been received directions to the chalet will be sent. For those self-catering, A deposit of 500 Euros is required on arrival either by credit card, cash or French cheque.

About the owner
Colin and Melanie started life in France over 20 years ago, working 'seasons' winter and summer and travelling the world in between, until they settled in Peisey Nancroix 15 years ago, when they found their first chalet. Live is different now they have children, but this lovely traditional village is perfect for families and has the added bonus of being linked to a huge ski resort - what more could you want?!!
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Traditional ski resort linked to large ski domain of Paradiski, whilst remaining it's charm! Pretty in summer and very convenient in winter. Even though when we moved here Peisey was little known and was linked only to Les Arcs, it has still stayed the same but it has become well known and linked to one of the biggest resorts in the world.
