Surrounded by the fantastic lush Limousin countryside with it's rolling hills and pine forests. The village has a well stocked mini-supermarket, excellent bar/restaurant, post office and 12c church. Larger towns of Aubusson and Auzances are a 15 minute drive away. The beaches and water sports of Lake Vassiviere are 1¼ hours away. The ski resorts of the Massif Central are only 1 hour away. An excellent location for walking or cycling with plenty to see and do in the area. There is a private garden area and use of a large garden space and secure parking if required.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds (cash, cheque or UK bank transfer). The rate per week is based upon the rate on the day of arrival. Payment is accepted in euros at the exchange rate on the day. Discounts offered for second and subsequent weeks. Special rates for longer lets.

We charge an additional £10 per week per pet.

Changeover days and times are totally flexible depending on existing bookings.

Bedrooms: The bedroom has 2 twin beds (together or apart), room for a childs bed (available on request) and radiator. There is plenty of storage space and a lovely view of the 12c church. A hairdryer is provided.
Bathrooms: The bathroom has a sink unit with full sized mirror, shower cubicle, toilet, heated towel rail and good sized storage cupboard.
Kitchen: This is a fresh bright room with fridge/freezer, gas oven/hob/hood, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and radiator. It is very well equipped with new appliances and crockery etc. There is a table and 4 chairs in the dining area.
Living Rooms: The lounge is large with UK Sky TV, DVD, 3 piece leather suite, storage and radiator. There is plenty of room for a 3rd bed (available on request) and a large selection of DVDs, books, maps, dictionary & extensive file of local information & attractions.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Sheets, towels, bath mat, flannels, t-towels, oven glove and apron are all provided and changed/replaced weekly. Cleaning is the responsibility of the tenant until departure when a full valet will be carried out.

Notes on accommodation
A welcome pack and everyday essentials (bin liners, cling film, washing-up liquid etc) provided - details on request. All cleaning products and cleaning/laundry equipment provided. All water, gas and local taxes are included in the price. Electricity is charged at the EDF rate per KWh. The cottage is fully heated with very efficient electric thermostatically controlled aluminium radiators, and is very well insulated. The water is electrically heated in a fully lagged 200 litre tank. A full information pack detailing local attractions, restaurants, maps etc is provided. Pets are welcome, but not allowed upstairs in the bedroom or bathroom.

Accessibility
The bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor. Access to the cottage is via 3 stone steps. Parking is available directly outside the front door or in a private gated area.

Outside
There is a small south-facing private garden with BBQ, patio furniture and brolly. There is also direct access to a larger south-facing grassed garden area which is fully fenced. A large south-facing sun terrace with deck chairs and built-in BBQ may also be used.

Coast/Beach
The beaches and water sports of Lake Vassiviere are 1¼ hours away. There is also a lovely local lake with a beach bar and restaurant which hosts live outside concerts (of all types) in the summer months. This lake is closely monitored for cleanliness and is excellent for swimming etc. For any keen fishermen, there are several local lakes with licences easily available.

Skiing
The ski resorts of the Massif Central are 1 hour’s drive (fabulous for walking, cycling or horse riding in the warmer months). This area is also home to the 'Vulcania' exhibition complex.

Travel
BY AIR - Limoges airport is 80Km away with hire cars readily available.
BY RAIL - La Souterraine is 1 hour away by car and is on the direct line from Paris. Again, hire cars are available.
BY CAR - Calais & Boulogne are an 8 hour drive away.

Further details
The village has a well stocked mini-supermarket, excellent bar/restaurant, post office and 12c church. Larger towns of Aubusson and Auzances are a 15 minute drive away. High quality mobile butchers visit the village twice a week. The surrounding towns and villages are ancient, attractive and interesting. They have their fair share of shops, churches, bars and restaurants. The countryside is lush and undulating with pine forests, rivers and lakes.

There are numerous local village/town markets details of which are provided.

Our village and surrounding area enjoy a wide range of events/faites/socials/concerts throughout the year. For example, in 2011 -

June 25th - FETE ST JAQUES (bonfire, bar, BBQ etc in the village).
July 9th - The TOUR DE FRANCE will run through Auzances (15 minutes away).
July 23rd/24th - Bellegarde MOTORSPORT HILL CLIMB (10 minutes away).
July 14th - BASTILLE DAY (petanque, bar, BBQ, fireworks etc in the village).
August 7th - Inter-village IT'S A KNOCKOUT (in the village).
