Our chalet is in picturesque Savoyard village of Montriond, 2km from Morzine in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, the worlds largest linked ski resort with 650km of marked pistes. The chalet is on the road to the Ardent lift giving quick access to the areas of Avoriaz, Chatel and into Switzerland. The layout of the chalet makes it suitable for small groups, large families or medium sized chalet parties and we are happy to rent exclusively or per person from 1 - 28 at any time of the year.

Notes on prices
These prices are per adult with reductions for children if sharing with adults. Winter prices include accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal with wine and coffee on six nights out of seven. A two course earlier evening meal is served for children for your further relaxation. Short breaks also possible at various times of the year. Summer is run on a B&B basis with the option of an evening meal.

Changeover day
During peak holiday times in the winter changeover day is Saturday otherwise we can be fairly flexible.
Summer breaks for any length of time, stay for six nights and the 7th is free, commencing any day of the week.

Linen and towels are included in the price, beds and towels are changed weekly, with a bath and hand towel per person. Chalet cleaned six days a week. |
Notes on accommodation
A great chalet for large family get together’s, work friends or reunions. You can rent the chalet exclusively for your group or just a room or two. We have a stair gate, highchair, baby stroller, change mat and two travel cots for our youngest visitors to help ease on the luggage!

Outside
We have a large safe garden which is great for children to build snowmen or make snow angels in winter or play in our private splash pool for summer use, 4.6m dia which is not heated except by the sun which does a very good job! For the very young we also have a small paddling pool, arm bands and rings. There is a large garden table with parasol, garden chairs for 14 and 4 sun loungers. A BBQ which guests are welcome to use in the summer if staying on a bed and breakfast basis, wash down facilities for bikes and safe storage. We have some outdoor games for summer use and sledges for the winter which you are welcome to use. We have off road parking for 10 cars.
Golf
Morzine-Avoriaz has a 9 hole, 36 par golf course just 10 mins from the chalet and is situated at 1600m amazing views. 15 mins from the chalet is the Les Gets course positioned on the Chavannes ridge with exceptional panoramic views. All the holes on this fairly technical course, 18 holes, are named after the nearby peaks with Mont Blanc or the 14th been the most impressive of the line up. 40 mins from the chalet will take you to the Masters course at Evian overlooking Lake Geneva. There are numerous courses in the Haute Savoie, Annecy, Flaine, Chamonix so why not use us as a base and with the green card you will receive a reduction on green fees.
Skiing
Portes du Soleil or translated ‘gateway to the sun’ is the world's largest linked ski resort spanning the French/Swiss border with 14 resorts and over 650km of marked pistes on 288 runs. Our nearest lift is just five minutes by either car or the free ski bus that stops at end of our driveway. The Ardent bubble will give you quick access to the areas of Avoriaz, Chatel and into Switzerland and all lifts are fast, modern and safe or in the other direction the Super Morzine bubble or across town for the Plenney lift for skiing the Morzine, Nyon and Les Gets areas of the Portes du Soleil. This vast area has something for everyone, the beginner on the gentle slopes and for the more experienced fine reds and blacks, or snow parks for tricks or the off-piste..... No two days need be the same. Why not plan your route to include lunch in Switzerland! We can arrange your ski hire or help arrange your ski lessons if necessary or point you to some of our favourite spots for skiing or lunch!
Travel
Geneva is our nearest airport, 75 mins by car. Calais is our nearest port 8 hour's drive. We can arrange transfers if necessary but would recommend a car in summer, although not necessary, it makes it easier to go further afield and explore the area. There is a local bus service which makes it easy to visit Les Gets or the gorge at Le Jotty and link up with another service for Thonon and Lake Geneva.

Summer in the Portes du Soleil is a mountain bike mecca with the largest marked trails in Europe with 24 lifts open during the summer months to transport you and your bike up the mountain for easy rides or to the extreme! The 110km circuit will take you round the entire Portes du Soleil. There are 11 permanent downhill tracks and each year the French Open is held in Montriond on the specially created course. The Tour de France comes to Morzine every 3 years and each year the Cyclosportive is held with 2 course of 100 and 150km of road racing. Other sports in the area are hiking, climbing, white water rafting, hydrospeed, parapenting,water skiing, wakeboarding, horse riding, tennis, canoeing, fishing, mountain boarding, luge, swimming, canoeing, adventure tree top walks and the list goes on.... We can arrange your bike hire, white water rafting, parapenting for you, or plan a week of activities to keep you amused. Koala is also a great base for exploring the area and visits to Chamonix and Mont Blanc or through the tunnel and into Italy, Annecy, the medieval town of Yvoire on the shores of Lake Geneva, Evian, Montreux home to the famous Jazz festival, two weeks of music every year in July with top lineup of guests. Montriond has a bakers, supermarket, doctors, sports shop, garage, restaurants, bar, bank machine and tourist office and Morzine, 2km is a bustling market town with cinemas, night clubs, tourist shops etc. An excellent choice for all kinds of holidays, sporting, relaxing, site seeing or a mixture of all three!
