‘Logis Gascons’ is a complex of 4 self catering gites converted from 17th century Gascon farm buildings with swimming pool and gardens. Situated in a valley close to the town of Marciac famous for its Jazz Festival it has the Pyrénées as its backdrop to the south and is surrounded by wooded hillsides and small valleys. It is a peaceful place to spend a relaxing holiday yet is surrounded by many places to see and things to do.

Changeover day
During the peak season changeover day is normally Saturday but please enquire for other days. Departure time is before 11am and arrival time is after 4pm unless otherwise requested.

Gite 2 'Orange' (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5)

Enter the gite through French windows from your own private east facing patio with barbecue, table, chairs and sunbeds into the entrance hallway with bathroom and separate toilet. Then step down into a living dining area of the gite equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and TV. Upstairs the gite has 1 double bedroom and 1 with a double and single bed, shower room and toilet. Gite 1 and 2 join to sleep up to 14 people. |

Enter the gite through the east facing French windows into a large living, kitchen, dining area equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and TV. Rear door onto private southwest facing patio equipped with barbecue, tables, chairs and sunbeds. Downstairs toilet. Upstairs the gite has 1 twin and 1 double bedroom, shower and toilet. |

Gite 4 'Yellow' (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 7/8)

Enter the gite through patio doors from your own private east facing terrace. The terrace is equipped with barbecue, table, chairs and sunbeds. On the ground floor there is a large living, kitchen, dining area equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and TV. There is also a downstairs bathroom and toilet. Upstairs the gite comprises of 2 double bedrooms and 1 with 2 singles and 1 three-quarter bed, shower room and toilet. |

Notes on accommodation
We are open all year round and our gites are central heated in case of cooler evenings during the winter months. The pool is not heated but is normally warm enough to use between May and October. The gites and gardens are all child friendly but parents must supervise smaller children around the pool area.
Accessibility
Although we do not have specific facilities for people with mobility problems Gite 1 has a downstairs bedroom with a shower room and toilet accessible by wheelchair.
Outside
All the gites have their own private terrace with barbecue. We have a communal 13.5m x 5.5m swimming pool with sunbeds and covered bar area. There is equipment and areas to play table tennis, boules, badminton and volleyball. There is a communal covered barbecue area.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful Atlantic beaches of the Landes which stretch from Biarritz to Bordeaux are just 2 hours away by car and well worth a visit.
Golf
In the area we have some very good, reasonably priced and quiet golf courses.
Golf du Chateau de Pallanne, 18 hole golf course, 6344m, par 74. Only 20 minutes away and a good testing course.
Golf de la Bigorre, 18 hole golf course, 5895m, par 73.
A lovely course at the foot of the Pyrenees and only 40 minutes away.
Golf de Guinlet, 18 hole golf course, 5675m, par 71. Located 5kms from Eauze which is approximately 50 minutes away
Lourdes Golf Club. 18 hole golf club, 5377m, par 70. Located 3km west of Lourdes which is approximately 40 minutes away. Open all year.

Skiing
The ski areas of La Mongie and Cauterets are approximately 1 hour 15 minutes away. Many other areas are also accessible.
Travel
By air:
Pau: 1 hour, Ryanair from London Stansted.
Biarritz: 2 hours, Ryanair from London Stansted, Dublin and Shannon.
Toulouse: 1 hour 50, Ryanair from London Gatwick, Bristol and Paris. Jet2 from Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Belfast.
Bordeaux: 2 hours 10, Easyjet from London Gatwick and Bristol. BMI Baby from Birmingham, Manchester.
Tarbes Ossun Loudres: 40 minutes away. Air France from Paris.
By car we are approx 11 hours from Calais, 9/10 from Caen/Le Havre and 8 hours from St Malo.
Distances
Marciac is 10 mins away and has a supermarket, banks, post office, 2 bars and 3 restaurants.

Lourdes 'The City of Miracles'
Pau, a historic city with a large chateaux.
Toulouse, named the 'Rose City' because of the colour as the sun reflects on the brick built houses.

Cycling:
We are in a valley with many tracks so you can ride for miles without using the roads.
For the more energetic there are lots of hills and valleys and an hour away the Pyrénées! Cycle routes include the Tour des Pyrénées Atlantiques, Randonnée de l'Armagnac, Bigorre Aragon, la Ronde des Mousquetaires, Circuit Intérieur des Landes, le Tour des Landes and the Raid Pyrénéen
Bikes available for hire on request.
Walking: the GR65 Way of St James pilrimage walking route is within easy access of Logis Gascons as is the GR653.
Lots of local walks to suit all ages plus the Pyrénées for the adventurous with the GR10 Pyrénéen Trail and the High Route
Canoeing.
Canoes de Beaucaire: Canoes or kayak for hire to navigate the on a 3km stretch of the Baise River (Open 09:00-18:00). Guided trips leave at 09:00 and 14:00 for half or full days on the river covering 7.5 km or 15 km. Located in the village of Beaucaire sur Baise (32).
Tree walking:
Walk and slide through the tree canopy.
Quad biking:
Quad Concept located in Auch. 60 hectares of land dedicated to quad bikes, buggies, jetskis, archery and paintball. Professional training given.
Lakes and swimming areas.
Locally at Marciac, Miellan and Mirande lakes with swimming areas and slides.
