Hidden in the heart of this beautiful Herault circulade village, La Valette is a lovely 200 year old house which has been fully restored, redecorated and fitted with brand new furnishings and appliances. The feature of the house is the original twisting staircase. Murviel has all the amenities you need, most only 100m from the house, including boulangerie, tabac, butchers, church and amazing views over the countryside. Ideal location for rivers & kayaking, wine tasting, Mediterranean beaches & Haut-Languedoc Regional Park.

Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Apart from July/August, the house can be rented on a daily basis (minimum 4 days), discounts are available for stays of 3 weeks or more - please ask for details. Long term lets welcome.
Changeover day
Apart from July and August we have no fixed change over day and will try to accommodate whatever is best for you. July & August - Changeover Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am. Electricity, water, linen & towels included in high season.

Notes on accommodation
Heating provided by portable electric convector heater. No Smoking in the house, only on the covered terrace. The winding staircaes is very charming but not suitable for children under the age of 4 or persons with difficulty climbing stairs. Parking 150m away.

Outside
Covered terrace on the top floor is spacious, with bright sunlight during the day and electric lighting in the evening. Perfect for a relaxing drink, meal or games.
Coast/Beach
The house is about 25km from the nearest sandy beaches at Valras plage or Marseillan plage. Other 'beaches' can be found by the river Orb, just outside Murviel at Reals or 20 minutes away in the Haut-Languedoc town of Roquebrun (The Herault Riviera!).

Montpellier - 60 minutes
Nimes, Carcassonne - 90 minutes
Car hire essential ( Hertz or Europcar at most airports).
Distances
2 minutes walk to village shops, church & bar.
10 minute drive to Beziers with good shops and restaurants.
3 hour drive to Barcelona.
5 minute drive to Haut-Languedoc Regional Park.
3 minute walk to car park, as there is no parking outside the house.
Further details
Kayaking in the River Orb can be found 5 minutes outside of Murviel, at Reals.
Village shops include bakery, newsagent, cafe/bar, post office, tourist information pharmacy, butchers, fishmonger, florist and wine cave.
Booking notes
Enquiries by e.mail/ telephone with preferred dates. 25% deposit required with your letter of confirmation. Balance required 4 weeks prior to departure date (or immediately if less than 4 weeks before booking). Refundable security deposit of £175 required upon receipt of keys, which will NOT be kept unless there is damage/loss/excessive cleaning required. Keys are collected by arrangement with agents, details of which are sent with our confirmation of your booking.
