Dolo was once a small holding. Whilst still maintaining the character & nostagia of these 2 lovely detached properties they have been renovated to a very high standard. Set on the outskirts of Uzel, Dolo is secluded for privacy, yet close enough to the village to provide easy access to its several interesting bars/restaurant & shops. The natural peace & tranquillity is complemented by the abundance of wildlife that resides here, other areas of the grounds offer room for family games & imaginative play for children. A small lake adds beauty to the estate & is a wonderful way to pleasure fish & unwind. A 25 min car ride takes you to many safe sandy beaches, Lake Guerledan is nearby & offers the largest lake in Brittany which is bordered by Quenecan Forest. In any direction there are many sites of interest to visit. Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday or one which is filled with activity, Dolo will answer all your requirement & more! Check availability La Maison (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)
This property offers a very well equipped kitchen/diner including a dishwasher. The lounge has the original stone fire place and a new log burner, English tv is included. The cottage is full of charm and character and has the original beams! Upstairs offers 2 bedrooms (1 twin & 1 double). A new fully tiled bathroom adds the final touches to the wonderful property. Bed linen is included.

 

Check availability La Grange (4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8)
This property offers a very well equipped kitchen/diner including a dishwasher. The lounge is delightful and English tv is included. Downstairs is the 2nd bathroom and 4th bedroom (double bed). Upstairs has a further 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin) a separate toilet and bathroom, both fully tiled. This property has the added advantage of oil central heating.

 

Notes on accommodation
Heating is provided in both properties. Logs are supplied daily for the cottage and are FREE of charge.

Accessibility
We have had a few guests stay with slight mobility problems. The gite has been an ideal place for them with the advantage of the downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

Outside
Both properties have a delightful seating area outside. La Grange has a private garden located behind the property. Garden furniture/picnic tables and BBQ's are provided.
There is a large area of open lawn space and flowers, shrubs and borders create a pleasant enviroment.
Ample car parking spaces.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches can be reached by car in 25 minutes. Lake Guerledan is a 15 minute drive and offers a 400 hectare lake with a man made beach. For those wishing to visit our ports and harbours this would take you approx 1 hour in the car.

Travel
We are in an excellent location, in easy reach from the ferry ports and airports.
Ferries: St.Malo 1 hour 15 mins ~ Cherbourg 3 hours ~ Caen 3 hours ~ Roscoff 1 hour 20 mins
Airport: Brest 1 hour 40 mins ~ Rennes 1 hour 15 mins ~ Dinard 1 hour ~ Nante 2 hours.
We are able to offer you discount codes to use for the ferries.

Distances
Our village "Uzel" is a 10 min walk and offers shops, bars/cafe & a restaurant. Loudeac our nearest main town is 15 minutes in the car. You will find the big major supermarkets along with all other shops, bars and restaurants.
St. Brieuc and Pontivy is 25 minutes in the car and once again offers major supermarkets, a hypermarket, bars, shops and restaurants.
Less than 1 hour in any directions lets you explore our interesting sites of interest including Vannes which is a fabulous day out.

Further details
We are located ideally to reach any of the fantasic daily markets that Brittany has to offer. Also located in our village is a post office, bank and pharmacy.
Fantasy exploring the pink granite coast? Tregastel Plage is worth a day out.
Joosselyn is a 40 minute drive, explore the fantasic chateau, take in the picturesque landscaping or enjoy a stroll around the shops.

May 06. Our 2nd visit to The Grange. A very warm welcome & as usual the gite was sparklig clean, a real home from home.
April 06. Our first impression of La Maison was a 5 star cottage. We honestly thought we were the first to stay here as it was so immaculate. This has been the perfect base to explore the wonderful area.

July 06. La Maison is truly beautiful. The attention to detail & lengths that you go to have ensured that our time at Dolo was a memorable experience.

August 06. Our first time booking a holiday over the internet but Dolo has surpassed all our expectations & is truly home from home.

July 07. Our 2nd stay. As usual the gite was perfect & hosts delightful. It was lovely to explore this gorgeous area. You are one of the best, hope to be back as soon as possible.
