This fantastically positioned ski-in/ski-out apartment is situated on piste and only metres from a fast 4-man chairlift which whisks you away to 265km of ski terrain. Situated in the Grand Massif it is interlinked with a very modern computerised lift system to its neighbours, Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoens and Sixt. A superb ski area with long greens and blues runs through trees for the beginners, beautiful reds and taxing blacks and off piste for the experts. Boarders are also catered for with 3 state-of-the-art terrain parks. Only an hour and 20 mins from Geneva airport or 8 hours from Calais it is the perfect ski area with something for everyone. Perfect for families as everything so close.The Grand Massif has a great snow record, always in the top 4 in Europe due to its proximity to Mont Blanc. A real gem of a place which is truly authentic and French. There is a underground garage and ski locker. It is on the top floor but there is no lift.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Sunday to Sunday. Clients are requested not to arrive before 4pm and to depart by 10am.
In the summer there is some flexibility with days and timings. Please enquire.

Bedrooms: Bed 1: king sized bed with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bed 2: family room with double bed and full sized bunks. Storage shelves and drawers.
Bed 3: double sofabed with cupboards and storage.
Extra 2 sofabeds in lounge area for extra flexibility.
Bathrooms: Newly fitted bathroom with bath and overhead shower and WC. Vanity unit with storage and heated towel rail. There is a separate WC downstairs.
Kitchen: A galley kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, electric grill and oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. All crockery and cutlery for 8 persons and many extras.
Utility Room: There is a shoe cupboard in the hallway and extra cupboard for storage. There are also many extra hooks for hanging coats in the hallway and landing.
Living Rooms: The comfortable living room has a large dining table with 8 chairs, 2 sofabeds and large coffee table. TV with VCR and DVD. There is a large dual aspect balcony leading off it with a further table and chairs and great views.
Other: The first floor of this duplex apartment has a separate WC, 3rd bedroom, hallway, kitchen and living area with stairs leading up to the bathroom and 2 further bedrooms.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
After stay cleaning is included, guests are however respectfully asked to leave the apartment clean and tidy. Towels and linen are included if requested and changed weekly. Beds are made on arrival by arrangment.

Accessibility
This apartment is on the top floor with no lift access and so is not suitable for elderly people or disabled people with difficulty with stairs.
It is 3 floors down to the ski exit and from the balcony has a wonderful view of the nursery/beginners slopes and children's village.

Outside
There is a large balcony with table and chairs for outdoor eating with superb views over the Criou Mountain. In summer there is access to a shared small swimming pool. The area around is car free and has immediate access to the mountains for walking or mountain biking in the summer.
It is an easy drive down the mountain to the village below where there is a host of other activities available both summer and winter.

Golf
The Haute Savoie region is fast becoming a desirable place for golfers with easy access by road and low cost flights making the area very accessible. With 5 championship courses within an hour's drive, all with the wonderful mountain backdrop and Alpine scenery. These courses are quiet, with uncrowded fairways and beautifully maintained greens. There is also a great value Mont Blanc Golf pass which provides 5 green fees for 150 euros to any of 10 courses including the best championship courses of Royal Evian Masters, Divonne les Bains, Annecy and Chamonix. Skiing
The Grand Masssif is an awesome snowsure ski area rising to 2500m at the top of Grand Platieres cable car. The view of Mont Blanc is quite spectacular! There is rapid access from Morillon via a modern high speed computerised system, no pictures needed for lift passes, to 265kms of well prepared pistes and loads off demanding off piste. Snowboarders have 3 state of the arc terrain parks. Scattered around the mountain are some truly authentic restuarants for snacks and lunches and Vin Chauds! Prices are still reasonable and quality very good.
Facilities for children are excellent in the Village des Enfants situated just below the apartment, children can be watched from the balcony! As well as the local ESF ski school there is also a new English speaking ski school called ZigZag who are providing personalised tuition for children and adults.T hey have brilliant results and we have had great feedback, booking is essential, please ask for details, we can arrange bookings if required.

Special interest holidays
In the summer this is a great venue for a different summer holiday. The Alps provide tranquillity and a serene timeless backdrop and enough varieties of mountain action to suit everyone.
Mountain walking, mountain biking, rafting, canyoning, canoeing, lake and pool swimming, riding, golf, via ferrata, painting and just relaxing in the wonderful clear mountain air.
There are plenty of historical places to visit, gorges, zoos and plenty of restaurants and mountain refuges to taste local Savoyarde specialities.

Travel
Morillon is very easily accessible from Geneva airport, 60km away, approx 1 hour 20 mins. One of the nearest ski resorts. Hire car advised but local transfers can be arranged at an extra cost. Please ask for details.
By car it is approx 8 hours from the channel ports and an easy drive being motorway all the way until the last 30 mins.
There is also a train service from the French ports to Geneva. Alternatively you can take the Eurostar to Paris/Lille and then the TGV to Cluses 30 mins away.

Distances
Morillon Les Esserts is purpose built on a lovely plateau above Morillon Village in the Giffre Valley is only a short drive down the mountain and to its neighbour Samoens, 2 miles away. Flaine is a lovely drive around the mountain about 45 mins by car. Skiing is quicker!
The lovely town of Annecy with its lake and medieval town and stylish shops is an easy 45 mins away for a day out.

Further details
There are a few shops and a supermarket, some restaurants and bars up at Morillon Les Esserts. For more choice Morillon village and Samoens have more variety.

Booking notes
Please contact me if you wish to make a booking. A deposit of £200 is required and full payment 10 weeks before departure. Our terms and conditions must be read, booking form filled in and travel insurance must be taken out.
A cheque/cash for £200 is required too as a damage deposit. This is returned when the apartment is checked.
