The ‘Mas de L'Elze’ is a rambling collection of old stone buildings, clinging to a sun-drenched, south facing slope on the edge of the Ardechois Cevennes. In the past, these buildings served a multitude of purposes typical of the local countryside: a silk-worm loft, a drying and smoking area for chestnuts, a barn for storing hay and raising geese and ducks for the "gavage". Now, they have been painstakingly and lovingly transformed into a set of completely independent luxury houses, from which you can fully appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. For large groups it is always possible to rent a number of the gites together. All gites share a large pool, jacuzzi and gym. Internet access is available by a fast broadband Wi-Fi connection.

Check availability La Grange (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6/8)
La Grange is a house on two and a half levels for 6-8 people. The entrance at road level leads into the kitchen and dining area, with a shower room behind. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, food processor and a coffee machine. Above there is a large mezzanine with 2 single beds. The living room is through a stone archway from the kitchen. Just in case you choose to take our holidays out of season, there is a large fireplace with a wood-burner for the long winter evenings. There is a very comfortable double sofabed should you need it. The 2 main double bedrooms are downstairs, where the goats used to be! There is also a luxury bathroom and a "cave" complete with washing machine. Outside, there is a large stone-paved patio with a walled flower garden; it is fully equipped with furniture and a BBQ.

Check availability La Clede (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)
La Clede is the second of our houses providing comfortable accommodation for 2/4 people. It has a floor area of approximately 55 sq.m.
It was originally used to dry chestnuts; a fire was lit on the ground floor which heated the chestnuts on the floor above. Now, the sleeping area is found on this floor with a double and 2 single beds. There is a lounge/diner, an open-plan kitchen and shower room underneath.
The kitchen has a hob with 3 gas rings and 1 electric, an oven/grill, a microwave and a coffee machine.
Outside, there is a sheltered, south-facing private terrace with a stunning view over the pool to the mountains under one of the chestnut trees that supplied La Clede with its raw material.

Check availability La Magnanerie (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/3)
La Magnanerie is a compact dwelling (approx 45 sq.m.) for 2/3 people.
Part of the old silk-worm loft, from which the house takes its name, has been transformed into a mezzanine to provide the sleeping accommodation with a double bed and optional single bed.
The remainder has been opened out and merged with the room downstairs, to create a large, light living area over 5m high at its tallest point. An open kitchen and a shower room located underneath the loft complete the low-level interior accommodation.
The kitchen has a hob with 3 gas rings and 1 electric, an oven/grill, a microwave and a coffee machine.
Outside, there are 2 secluded areas leading off the living area from which you can enjoy the sunshine. Start the day on the south-facing wooden terrace, then move with the sun to the west, transferring to the stone-paved patio.
