'The house has a fabulous feel about it and is equiped with everything that you could need for an enjoyable holiday. The private, peaceful garden is ideal for relaxing. The convenience of the nearby motorway connections enabled us to visit Monaco and other coastal resorts easily. We will definately be coming again.' Mr and Mrs Baxter, Witham, Essex.
'This is the best equiped property we have ever rented in Provence. Location is ideal for beaches, mountains and the awesome Verdon Canyon. Do not miss the stunning drive along the East Rim'. Ian Forsythe, Merseyside.
'The pictures don't lie - it was just as presented. My wife and I stayed with our four children. There was ample room and superbly furnished with amenities. The property was just lovely. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely return. We like to roam where tourists don't, and found the local advice from the nearby tourist office invaluable, as was the info provided in the house Welcome Book' Michael Smith, Nort

Owner profile
About the owner
We are Lesley and Ken. We are in our early 60s and live in Buckinghamshire. We both work as property surveyors but hope to retire soon and spend more time in France.
We have four children between us - 2 boys and 2 girls whose ages range between 29 and 37. We also have a small grandson who was born in July 2009 and a granddaughter born December 2010. We bought the house in 2007 and have been renting it since 2008.
We enjoy spending time in France whenever we get the chance. We have many long weekends Thursday night to Monday night courtesy of the low cost airlines which fly from Gatwick and Stansted to Nice or Marseille, both of which are within easy reach of the house. We have difficulty fitting in a whole holiday for ourselves as the house always seems to be rented. Still can't complain
Year purchased: 2007
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Ken has known the village for many years as he has owned a small house in the centre of the village for 25 years. This house is still in the family as it is owned by his daughters.
When our current house came up for sale we saw it as an ideal opportunity to buy something together that was larger and had a garden, as this was something that the smaller house did not have.
The house had been in the same family since it was re-built in the 1960s by a Belgian lady. The house then passed down to her daughter and then onto her grandson from whom we bought it.
We have completely renovated the house and have been renting it successfully now since 2008. We are always fully booked during the summer months and also have lots of lets during the rest of the year.
Unique benefits of the property
The house is ideally situated, being set in a rural location whilst being only 5 mins drive from the main A8 Motorway which links the main airports and coastal resorts of the Cote d'Azure.
There are many lovely villages within easy reach and also the magnificent Gorge du Verdon is only a short drive away. So if you wantg sea, countryside or mountains they are all available nearby.
Ken has seen many changes to the village over the past years with the provision of restaurants, a supermarket, gym and shops. The village is certainly now on the tourist map whilst retaining it's original charm and character.
The house has ample accomodation with large bedrooms, a balcony and secluded garden. It is an ideal place to unwind and relax as well as providing a convenient base for nearby sightseeing
