The farmhouse family holiday cottage or gite has timeless charm with the comforts of a modern house. It retains many character features such as impressive oak ceiling beams and beautiful stone and granite walls and fireplaces. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a tasteful mixture of old and new furniture. There is a small library for holiday reading and a variety of DVDs can be borrowed. Broadband internet connection is available. You can enjoy your holiday knowing that your children are playing in safe surroundings. Outside facilities include a private heated pool, swings & rope ladder, a trampoline with safety net, table tennis, badminton. The cottage is in an ideal position for exploring Brittany. The N24 to Rennes and the beautiful Southern Brittany coast is only a few minutes drive away. Historic towns with lovely chateaux, Josselin and Pontivy and ancient Vannes with its walled ramparts, the sandy beaches of Carnac and the Quiberon peninsula are all within easy reach.

Notes on prices
Thursday changeover in July and August to minimise ferry costs.
Minimum stay except Low Season - one week.
Short Breaks in Low Season - £80 per night, minimum stay one night, please bring your own bed linen.
Changeover day
Thursday changeover in July and August. Flexible changeover at all other times. Arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am to allow time for cleaning, except for Low Season short breaks where arrival and departure is 4pm.

| Kitchen: | There is a wide range of country pine units, a stainless steel double bowl sink with mixer tap, dishwasher, five burner range style gas cooker, microwave, and large fridge/freezer. An original Breton dining table can seat up to ten people. |
| Utility Room: | The downstairs cloakroom has a toilet, washbasin and washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: | The large lounge has exposed beams, feature stone wall, and large wood burner. The room is comfortably furnished for up to ten people. There are CD and DVD players. The TV receives both French and English programmes. |
| Other: | A small sitting room off the main lounge has a sofa bed which can be used as an extra bed by request only. The room is mainly for use as a peaceful retreat from the family and has lovely views over fields. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Tea towels and hand towels provided. Bath/shower and pool/beach towels available to hire. All bedlinen provided, plus additional set by request if the stay is for 2 weeks. |

Outside
Outside there is off road parking close to the house. The external gates lead to an exclusive enclosed area with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. There is a private heated swimming pool (7.3m x 3.7m), with a large raised decked and landscaped area. In the large garden is a 3 metre trampoline, table tennis table, badminton net and a picnic bench. Four adult mountain bikes, (one with baby seat, one with a 2 child trailer) are available free of charge.

Southern Brittany beaches - Carnac, Lorient, Quiberon are under an hours drive.
Travel
Airports at Rennes (40 miles) Dinard (75 miles) Brest (110 miles) Nantes (110 miles).
Ferry ports at St Malo (80 miles) Roscoff (110 miles) Caen (180 miles) Cherbourg (200 miles).

Josselin - Medieval town, with an awe inspiring chateau on the banks of the Nantes-Brest canal. A very popular tourist centre (15 minutes).
Locmine - Medieval town with charming town centre (10 minutes).
Pontivy - Napoleonic town, with 15th century castle (25 minutes).
Ploermel - Lac du Duc, sailing and windsurfing, golf course (25 minutes).
Vannes - Historic capital of Southern Brittany, near the coast (30 minutes).
Lorient - Famous naval town and port (45 minutes).
Rennes - (1 hour).
Further details
Les Blancs is a perfect place to relax and a great base for exploring Brittany with its chateaux, medieval and Napoleonic towns, museums, canals, lakes and rivers, woods and fields as far as the eye can see, and remember the seaside is never far away. There is also plenty to do locally: at Reguiny (3kms) you can take a leisurely stroll around the lake, or swim in the open air 25 metre pool. There is also a large supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars and a 2nd world war museum. Tennis courts are at Reguiny and Radenac (3kms) free of charge! The area around Les Blancs is ideal for walking and cycling with the family. The Nantes-Brest Canal with its picturesque locks, canalside bars and creperies is only 10 minutes by car. The local creperie, (with a bouncy castle to keep the children happy), is just 5 minutes away, but make sure you book first, as it is very popular with both locals and visitors.
Booking notes
Payment may be made in sterling or euros. 25% non-refundable deposit required at time of booking. Remainder payable 6 weeks before holiday - together with a £150 refundable security deposit. Full terms and conditions may be found on owners website. Minimum stay 1 week except Low Season. We are able to offer a discounted fare when booking with Brittany Ferries.
