In the Mercantour National Park, overlooking the high altitude ski slopes of Isola 2000, our chalet offers breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys, benefiting from a south facing aspect to make the most of the glorious Mediterranean sunshine. Snow conditions allowing access to the pistes, is but a few minutes from your doorstep. and experienced skiers can ski off-piste back to the chalet complex. Cheap flights to Nice, great value chalet and now Bus Transfers to/from Nice Airport are available at a remarkable 1 Euro each way (Honest!).

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds/Euros and includes utilities and cleaning. 10% discount for 2 weeks stay.
These prices reflect bookings made directly with the owner. After September each year, ski bookings may need to go through our Rental Agent whose rates are higher. So book early to avoid disappointment. Bed linen and towels available for £10 per person.
Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday, departure normally by 10am. Please enquire if you have different requirements as we may be able to accommodate them!

From Summer 2008 bedlinen and towels are available from only £10 per person. Please enquire if you would like them provided. Rental prices include cleaning although we would obviously appreciate you keeping the chalet relatively tidy! |

Coast/Beach
From the highest point in Isola 2000 you can see the Mediterranean and if you fancy a day on the coast it's only approx 80 minutes away by car.
Skiing
Isola 2000 is located in the Alpes Maritimes in the south eastern corner of France, on Italian border. The resort has a ski area of 120km, with 43 pistes (7 green, 21 blue, 11 red and 4 black) and 21 lifts (2 telecabines, 10 ski-tows, 8 chairlifts and one funicular).
The convenient ski area fans out above the resort to the south and west right up to the Italian border. Beginners benefit from an excellent gentle plateau that stretches for almost five kilometres, alongside the main resort complex. Both sunshine and snowfall are guaranteed by the resort, which has held the French snowfall record on several occasions. Christmas 2006 saw Isola 2000 with exceptionally good skiing with virtually all runs open, whereas most other resorts in the Alpes struggled with insufficient snow. Due to the high altitude, most of the terrain is above the treeline and on sunny slopes. Some of the best intermediate skiing in the Genisserie sector is accessed by one of two high speed quads at the resort.
Travel
Isola 2000 is only 97km from Nice and by car the journey takes about one hour and twenty minutes. During the summer it is possible to drive from Turin in Italy to Isola 2000 by the Col de la Lombarde. A number of airlines fly to Nice Airport, including Easyjet, British Airways. For anyone not wishing to drive, a Snow Bus is available to/from Nice Airport at just 1 euro each way. Private taxi also available for approx 160 euros.
Distances
The chalet overlooks the slopes/resort of Isola 2000 with a funicular making the main centre minutes away on foot. Or get your snowboots on and walk a few hundred yards down a scenic little lane to the Front de Neige & restaurants. On down the mountain is the traditional French village of Isola (17km), with plenty of history & Aquavallée, a big indoor swimming pool complex.
130km more skiing is available at Auron, 40 minutes away by car. A combined lift pass is available to ski both resorts.

A security cheque/payment of £200 is required prior to departure which will be returned in full on return of key and if the accommodation is left in a clean and tidy condition, free from damage.

The Chalet was great – there were five of us and we had plenty of room. I think even up to eight people would have been OK. The resort was really friendly (maybe a lack of English tourists helped) and was great skiing. We can’t criticize the chalet at all. -the Wills Family - Xmas 2007
