Nearby is the unspoilt village of Lamothe Fenelon, with medieval church and two restaurants, a small lake and children's playground. 5 km away is Payrac, picturesque, with a superb village shop, pharmacy, doctor and three restaurants. Two excellent towns are 15 km away with supermarkets and all amenities. Dordogne river is 10 mins drive and the property is well situated for the major tourist attractions of the Dordogne region.

Sunday (to help you to avoid heavy traffic on Saturdays in France). House available to incoming visitors from 4.30pm. Guests to vacate house by 10am. Possible flexibility with dates, short lets outside main season.

Pool 11m x 5m exclusive to property and very private. Sunbeds and umbrellas at pool. Terrace all around pool. Shady garden close to house and plenty of open space for games etc.

Golf and country club Souillac 15km.
Travel
Car essential. Transport links:
Bergerac 1,5 hr, Limoges 1,5 hr, Toulouse 1hr 45 mins - 2hrs.
Calais approx 7 - 8hrs (driving time) motorway then 15 - 20 minutes from A20.
Train from Paris 4hrs 30 mins to Souillac then 15 - 20 mins.
Distances
Local village 2 km; Payrac 5 km. Two excellent towns, Souillac and Gourdon each are 15 km away and the property is well situated for the major tourist attractions of the region: Dordogne beaches 10 mins. Sarlat 35 mins. Rocamadour 45 mins. Numerous villages, castles, caves and other attractions less than 1 hr.

Guest comments
We have been staying in rented farmhouses in France as a family for many years and in our opinion this was one of the best value for money and easily the best equipped with a really lovely pool. Rarely have we had so much space despite being within a short walk/drive to village shops and amenities. With children it is also important that the property is not cluttered and difficult to manage. We found Amouroux welcoming but not so full of personal/precious items that it was difficult to relax. Wonderful to have the table and chairs both sides of the house and the use of the extra freezer in the cellar so we didn’t have to go shopping every couple of days. Really appreciate the pool towels also as this is a real issue as luggage allowances get lower and lower on cheap flights. Lots of helpful information about the house and area was easily to hand. We had a great time and would definitely hire the house if we return to the area. The house was clean.
