Perched on a hillside with its medieval castle, narrow paved streets, little squares and fountains, Seillans is one of only 3 villages in the Var officially classified in 'Les plus beaux villages de France.' Just a 5 min drive from Seillans, the poolside terraces at Villa Cap Vert provide the perfect spot to take in the commanding views of this beautiful village and surrounding hillsides. The villa has a unique style with solid oak floors, vaulted beamed ceilings and is furnished to a high standard with antique and contemporary pieces. Two large, open plan reception rooms both with Luberon stone fireplaces have French doors leading to the terrace and pool area. The main living area has a double height ceiling and minstrels' gallery. The 4 double bedrooms all have their own bath/shower rooms. The kitchen with its hand-built units is spacious and well-equipped. Outside, the swimming pool with child safety alarm is surrounded by extensive stone terraces with built-in BBQ area.

Outside
The villa stands at the end of a private driveway behind electric gates in approximately 1 acre of tranquil grounds with ample car parking space. Stunning views of Seillans and the surrounding hillsides can be enjoyed from the property and at night the illuminated medieval castle perched at the top of the village looks particularly spectacular. In the woodland terraced grounds you will find plenty of quiet and shady spots to read, doze or just take in the view. There is also a lawned area and herb garden near to the house. Wide steps lead down from the front of the house to the private swimming pool fitted with child safety alarm. Extensive stone terraces around the house and pool are perfect for sunbathing and al fresco meals and we provide sunloungers, a large outside dining table and chairs and parasols as well as a purpose-built stone barbecue and outside lighting. From the ground floor bedroom, French doors lead to a further small terrace with a table and 2 chairs.

Coast/Beach
There are several beaches within easy reach by car: Mandelieu-La Napoule-Cannes, Golfe de Frejus, La Croisettes, Cannes, St Raphael, Ste Maxime, and St Tropez. Iles de Cannes - there are some small islands off the beach at Cannes which can be reached by public ferry or sailing boat. The water around them is a stunningly clear turquoise and is perfect swimming territory. It is a great spot for days out.

Golf
Domaine de Terre Blanche (Four Seasons resort hotel) is a club of outstanding quality with two 18 hole golf courses plus a golf academy with a floodlit practice range and all weather covered positions. Golf de l'Esterel (Par 71, 5825 metres) is just over a mile away from the wonderful beaches of Saint-Raphael. This course actually runs into the Mediterranean Sea giving it magnificent views and making it wonderfully relaxing.
Golf de St-Enderol is a world class 18 hole course catering for both expert and amateur golfers and is set in the spectacular Enderol mountains.

Skiing
Isola 2000 is about 2 hours drive from Seillans and offers skiing at 2000 metres altitude from December to April. Geolieres Les Neiges is 1 1/2 hours drive and offers skiing at 1400-1700 metres altitude from Christmas to March. The resort, though relatively small, is good for learning and can be excellent after a big snowfall. The resort also has snow cannons.

Travel
The villa is 40-45 mins easy drive from Nice Airport. A hire car is recommended.

Distances
The villa is 5 mins by car or a 30 minute walk from Seillans. Within a 20 minute drive you can also explore the pretty market town of Fayence, the picturesque hilltop villages of Callian and Montaroux as well as Bargemon with its shady village square and excellent restaurants. Lac de St.Cassien which offers a variety of water sports and picnic areas is approx a 30 minute drive. Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, is 30 kms away and the spectacular Gorges du Verdon 60 kms.

Further details
Amenities in Seillans include: a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank, post office, tabac, a boutique hotel, as well as a weekly market. There are also some excellent restaurants -'Les Deux Rocs' in the heart of the historic village as well as 'Le Relais' and 'La Gloire de Mon Pere' situated in the shady cobbled square.
Seillans also enjoys a vibrant arts scene with its art galleries, numerous arts and crafts workshops and classical music concerts.
Nearby Fayence offers a further selection of shops, including a large supermarket, and, as one would expect more excellent restaurants!

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% of the total price must be paid on reservation, the remainder plus a refundable damage deposit must be paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday start date, or 12 weeks for high season. On completion of the holiday, once the keys have been returned and the property checked, the damage deposit will be refunded in full provided the house is left in good order.
