The Butte Montmartre hill area is the most desirable in Paris for a vacation rental. It's currently outpassing St Germain des Pres and Le Marais because of the noise and pollution of these areas. The building is a charming ancient renovated construction with an elevator. You can park your car easily. I have another 2 bedroom apt nearby. The sunny days and clear blue skies of Summer is the best time to walk around Butte Montmartre hill and enjoy the breathtaking views over the city of Paris. The street and the apartment are in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, yet 50 yards away from the famous Marche Lepic-Abbesses, the open air market, fine and casual restaurants, wine cellars, art galleries, vintage and all shopping and leisure facilities. The Place du Tertre - with its famous artists live exhibition - is minutes away, with the famous Sacre Coeur basilica, and all the charming and romantic cobblestone streets of the Montmartre Hill, that became now pedestrian-friendly.

Because of it's prime location and its very comfortable layout, I have rented this apartment very successfully over the years (see my numerous feedbacks). It's in impeccable condition, fully equipped and now available again for July-August only for up to 6 persons. The Butte Montmartre hill area is the most desirable in Paris for a vacation rental. The street and the apartment are in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, yet 50 yards away from the famous Marche Lepic-Abbesses, the open air market, fine and casual restaurants, wine cellars, art galleries, vintage and all shopping and leisure facilities. The Place du Tertre - with its famous artists live exhibition - is minutes away, with the famous Sacre Coeur basilica, and all the charming and romantic cobblestone streets of the Montmartre Hill, that are now pedestrian-friendly since the Municipality has restricted car access to the area.
A car is not necessary nor recommended, but there is a safe parking around the block, if you plan to visit the outskirts of Paris. By Metro or by bus, Musee du Louvre and Orsay are less than 15 mns away.
The Roman “Mons Martyrium” - the mount of the first Christian martyrs - became Montmartre in 1689 when the monument was erected to the “glory of the Sacred Heart.” The famous cathedral that crowns the hill, and that can be seen from almost all over Paris, was built much later in 1871, when France was invaded, and the Pope captured. Since it’s Roman origins, Montmartre has always been a small village inside Paris, where winemakers and millers used donkeys to carry the grains and the grapes up and down the slopes of the hill.
The Moulin de la Galette is the last authentic windmill left from that time, with the famous Da Graziano Italian restaurant at it’s foot - a “must go” for fine dining out. It’s also a few hundred yards away from the Lapin Agile, the favorite place of the musician Eric Satie, which will lead you through the tiny cobblestone and undulating streets to the artistic side of the village.
Here, you will find "le Chateau des Brouillards” - the home of Renoir, "le Bateau Lavoir” - Picasso's studio and living quarters ...

We were a family with 4 children and the apartment was very convenient. It is located in a very silent street in Montmartre without any fear in the neighbourhood. I'd like to emphasize the great service we got from the owner before getting into Paris by many tips provided and also real help. Eliezer Zand, Israel
This apartment is in one of the oldest and most beautiful parts of Paris and is very convenient to two Metro stops. The owner and agent were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely little slice of Paris. Tom and Adrienne Varin, Sonoma, Ca
