The apartment is ideally situated at the bottom of the Bellevue ski lift, offering virtually ski-in ski-out accommodation in the winter and great for hikers and mountain bikers in the summer. It is located in the heart of the village with restaurants, bars ski/cycle/ hire shops, ski school and multi activity centres on your doorstep. The village of Les Houches has retained its Alpine charm being quieter than its busy neighbour Chamonix, with pretty church and a market every Monday morning, boulangerie, local bars, restaurants and supermarkets. If you do desire the bright lights the bus to Chamonix stops directly outside the apartment. Great in both summer and winter!

Changeover day
Weeks usually run from Sat to Sat although short breaks are available at selected times, arrival is usually after 3:00pm and departure 10:30am.

| Kitchen: | The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave and fridge. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge area, has flat screen TV with DVD and ipod dock and CD player. The sofa also converts to a comfortable double bed if required. WiFi access is also available for a small extra cost. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen for the double room and cleaning are included in the charge. We can arrange airport transfers if needed. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is great for families as everything is so convenient. For the more adventurous who may want to explore the valley the local bus stops directly outside the apartment in both summer and winter.
Outside
The apartment has a large sunny balcony with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Outdoor furniture and BBQ are available.
Golf
The Alpine region offers some of the highest quality and most interesting golf courses in France. Spectacular scenery combined with accessible courses for all levels makes the Alpine region an attractive choice for a golfing holiday based in Les Houches.
Chamonix has an excellent golf course (designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr) which is located at the foot of the famous Drus mountain range at 1200m altitude. The course is very well maintained and also contains a practice range (26 positions, 6 covered) and a putting green. The course is open from May to November - cost is EUR 41 - 60 per round depending on season and day of week.

Skiing
The ski area of Les Houches extends from an altitude of 950m to 1900m. From the summit one has a spectacular 360° view of the Mont-Blanc massive. Skiing in Les Houches combines long descents through pine and larch forests within the view of spectacular peaks of the "Aiguilles de Chamonix".
Not surprisingly it is the location of regular international events and serves as the training ground for the French National Ski Team. By yourself or with the local ski schools, you will discover a varied choice of pistes for downhill, cross-country, surf, telemark or ski-jumping. It’s all here!
To enjoy the different mountain activities such as off-piste, don’t hesitate to hire a mountain or trekking guide.
However the skiing is not limited to Les Houches you have the whole of the Chamonix valley on your doorstep!
Special interest holidays
Love activity holidays? Then think no further Les Houches has much to offer - within the village you can book for white water rafting, canoynning, via ferrata, climbing, parapenting, mountin cycling and if you are still have energy there is enough hiking to keep you going for ever! When you do need to chill out there are some amazing lakes to swim in and relax around with the amazing Mont Blanc as your backdrop.
Travel
Les Houches is only 50 mins from Geneva airport,
Car hire is not essential especially in the winter as the local bus service can transport you all around the valley. We would probably recommend a car for the summer as you may wish to visit further afield - Italy is only 10 mins away.
Driving is very do-able, around a 9 hour drive from Calais.

We have shops situated in the same building as us which consist of a deli which also sells basics like milk and juice, plus wonderful ready made French cuisine for those nights you don't feel like cooking! The ESF ski school is also here so booking lessons couldn't be easier!
The local patisserie is only a 1 minute walk away - so crossiants for breakfast are a must!
Chamonix is busier in the summer than the winter!
Activities are very popular and include hill walking and hiking,
mountain biking, glacier trekking, white water activities, rock and indoor climbing, riding, high wire activities, tennis plus much more.
Many of the organised activities such as white water rafting can be booked through companies who have offices within Les Houches. Many also offer whole weeks of organised activities especially for children.
