On our site is a magnificent swimming pool to use at your leisure. There are a host of activities on offer from walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing and fishing to exploring some of the best markets and restaurants La Vienne has to offer. An abundance of charming historic towns and villages within easy access of the gites. Only 30 mins from Poitiers Airport where Ryanair fly from London Stansted, Paris is accessible in 1 1/2 hours by TGV as is the beautiful coast of La Rochelle, only 1 1/2 hours away by car. Near our gites, the River Gartempe is one of the Vienne's most beautiful rivers. The river winds its way through several historic towns including Saint Savin with its remarkable Abbey which is famous for its beautiful Romanesque frescoes. For those staying in our gites with more therapeutic relaxation in mind take a trip to La Roche Posay one of France's leading Spa towns. Also the village of Angles sur L'Anglin given the title 'One of the Prettiest villages in France'.

Cooking facilities comprising cooker and oven are available within the gite as well as full BBQ facilities for outdoor feasts which can be eaten on a terrace overlooking fields of sunflower or rape. Equipped with washing machine and fridge and a private bathroom and toilet you have all the amenities available to make your stay comfortable. We provide linen and towels and a welcome hamper to allow you to sample some of the gourmet delights of the region which range from the wonderful Cognacs and wines to the famous Charentaise butter and cheese. The studio gite is both practical and pleasant – a convenient and comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding beauty of the Gartempe valley or to enjoy the refreshing coolness of the lovely swimming pool which is right on your doorstep. | |
