Within easy distance of Nice, St Tropez, Cannes and Monte Carlo, Jacaranda provides the perfect base from which you can explore the glamourous French Riviera. With superb accommodation which includes an infinity pool, a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious furnishings and comprehensive entertainment, Jacaranda also suits holidaymakers keen to find a little peace and relaxation. Whatever your idea of a perfect holiday, whether it is to sip proper coffee in quaint market squares, picnic on white sandy beaches, take up windsurfing, drift off by the pool or play a table-tennis tournament, the house can play host to large groups of friends, inquisitive small children and even hard to please teenagers.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 has a large double bed. The master suite has a double bed, large sauna, Jacuzzi bath, shower and toilet. The ‘apartment’ can be used separately with double bed and 2 double sofabeds.
Bathrooms: En suite bathroom shared by bedrooms 1 and 2 with bath and shower. En suite shower room to apartment, separate WC. En suite bath/shower/sauna to master suite. Additional basement toilet and shower.
Kitchen: The kitchen is open plan with the sitting and dining areas and incudes a breakfast bar and barstools. There is a built-in electric hob and oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also a microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee-maker.
Utility Room: The basement houses a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and large fridge/freezer, a boiler room and a vast unconverted room currently used for table tennis or indoor football. This has double doors opening onto the lower terrace.
Living Rooms: The main part of the house is one very large space divided into sitting, dining and kitchen areas. The sitting area has a large sofa and a working fireplace. There is also a hi-fi system, TV, DVD player and UK Sky TV.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are included. Cleaning and linen/towels changed weekly.

 

Notes on accommodation
The entire house has underfloor heating as well as working open fireplace in the sitting area. The pool is also heated in the winter months. The house is very suitable for children with a guard fence and electronic alarm on the swimming pool area. Board games and a Playstation are provided.

Accessibility
The house is at the top of a relatively steep road. There is a very pleasant but quite a steep walk to Tourettes and Fayence but we would recommend a car.

Outside
In the summer we hope you’ll spend most of your time outside. The pool is a major feature of the house, sharing spectacular views of the valley with the main terrace where there is a separate dining area with a huge marble table for up to 12 which can be shaded from the sun. The house is approached via electric gates and is surrounded by around one and a half acres of terraced gardens. This valley used to be used for growing flowers for the perfumiers of Grasse, so there’s an amazing ancient system of canals that feeds our automatic irrigation system. There is a double carport and plenty of parking space.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at St Raphael, but all of the beaches of the Cote D'Azur are within easy driving distance. The Lac de Cassien is also within about 15 mins drive and and offers watersports - windsurfing, rowing, pedaloing, swimming and fishing.

Golf
There are 2 golf courses 15 minutes away at Tourette de Fayence - the new Terre Blanche 18-hole course and Le Riou. Other courses within 30 minute drive include the golf at st Endreol at La Motte.

Skiing
Ski resorts within a 2 hour drive include the well-known resort of Isola 2000 (ideal for beginners) and Foux d'Allos (which is good for off-piste skiing).

Travel
Nice International Airport is a 40 minute drive. We recommend hiring a car from the airport or in Fayence. By car Fayence is approximately 1,100km from Calais via motorway to Aix-en-Provence and then on towards Nice.
The high speed TGV train service links Paris or Lille with Marseille or Nice.

Distances
The house is a 5 minutes drive (or a 20 minutes walk) from the shops and restaurants of Fayence which adjoins Tourettes. The A8 (Junction 39) is about 15 mins drive. This gives access to Frejus and St Tropez to the West, Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo to the East. We suggest hiring a car from Nice Airport or Fayence.

Further details
Fayence has a number of very good restaurants and is a 5 mins drive. There are 2 large supermarkets within 10 mins drive. Fayence airfield is acknowledged as one of Europe's leading gliding centres.

Booking notes
Price is fully inclusive of gas electricity, linen and cleaning prior to and after your stay. Pool towels included. To book please email us with your inquiry. Deposit of 20% secures your reservation. The balance must be paid 2 months prior to the start of your rental period. for those booking within 2 months of the holiday arrival date the whole rental must be paid at the time of booking.
Please ensure that you take out adequate holiday/travel insurance. Security deposit of £300.
