The apartments are on the 1st & 2nd floor of small, well maintained private chalet in a quiet area just 5 minutes stroll from the village centre. The village offers a choice of 5 restaurants/bars, ski hire shop and general store. Meribel-Les Allues is ideal for both winter and summer holidays, linked to the whole of Les Trois Vallées by gondola and free shuttle bus. There are over 600 kms of pistes and 200 lifts. Skiing & boarding suitable for all abilities, plus offering the full range of winter sports & summer activities to suit all ages. Lifts also open in July & August, with a huge variety of summer activities.

The Chalet is situated in its own lawned grounds with magnificent mountain views. The picturesque village centre is a 5 minutes stroll, with its 5 restaurants, bars, ski and mountain bike shop, post office, general store. Apartments balcony have table and chairs provided. Quick 10 minute access to centre of Merbel via the Gondola or free ski bus.
Sunday Times review - 19th Nov: ' A welcome trend in the Alps is the colonisation of lower altitude and more characterful mountain villages that missed the first round of ski resort developments, Les Allues is such a place: a few hairpins down from Méribel, it's a small rough hewn settlement, and by far the nicest place to stay in the valley. If you want a more laid back holiday, mixing awesome on-piste skiing in the world's largest ski area, with a lazy day or two catching the sun, you'll love it".

Coast/Beach
A beach by the beautiful lake at Bozel is a 15 min drive away with beach guards, showers, wc's and a restaurant. Open in the summer months. Or just 50 mins away is Lake Annecy, renowned to be France's prettiest for sailing, water skiing and swimming.

Golf
The world class 18 hole golf course in Méribel, just 10 minutes drive from the chalet. Summer gourmet drives and competitions held in July & August.

Skiing
Meribel-Les Allues linked by gondola & free shuttle bus to the centre of Méribel in the heart of the epic Les Trois Vallées ski domain,with 600kms of linked pistes, over 1,400km of terrain on which to ski.This is the largest ski area in the world accessed by a single pass.The scale of the place defies comprehension. The 190 lifts carry an amazing 260,000 people per hour,so hardly any queues.An intermediate paradise,with two thirds of the runs as blue or red.There are also nursery slopes & some debutant greens. 12% of the pistes are black,with some stomach lurching Couloirs & off piste powder. Snowboarders are in paradise too, with 4 snow parks & half pipes. Plus cross country skiers/ski du fond,have masses of beautiful trails to enjoy the scenery. For non skiers, try snow shoe walking,husky sled riding, sledging, relaxing in spas. Summer many exciting sporting activities ranging from golf, tennis, horse riding, mountain biking, river rafting, canoeing, canyoning, Adventure Park & more.

By car: from UK: Eurotunnel, channel ferries to Calais or Le Havre. Driving is 9 hrs all motorway to Moutiers, just 15 mins from the apartments. By air:Chambery via Snowjet, Flybe and Jet2 from Gatwick Manchester, Soton, Exeter, Norwich, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds Edinburgh Transfer 55mins. BA, BMI, Easyjet & Ryanair to Grenoble or Lyon 1hr 45mins, or Geneva 1.45hrs, NEW Easyjet Geneva from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Doncaster.

From Chalet to village centre and free shuttle bus 5 mins walk. Gondola 7 mins walk or 3 mins by car. By car: to centre Meribel and Meribel Village 8 mins. Mottarett 12 mins. La Tania 10 mins. Courchevel 1350 15 mins. Chambery airport is nearest, 55 mins drive.

Les Allues is a picturesque & traditional French village with old Savoyard buildings, 5 restaurants/bars, a baroque church whose bells ring out across the valley, giving this friendly village its rustic charm, making it a perfect mountain winter or summer holiday. Linked to the whole of Les Trois Vallées by gondola and free shuttle bus, you are ideally situated to explore the whole area, including Le Vanoise National park, enjoying the full range of winter and summer sports/mountain activities. Jan-March ski back to apartment door either via 2 off pistes or a long blue run. Having a car gives even more choice and flexibility. The Village has: Ski hire shop, tabac, general store,creche, post office and a friendly atmosphere. Dinners can be prepared and served for you in the apartment.

Deposit Winter £300 or €350 required. Summer £200 or €220 when reservation made to secure your stay. Deposit is refunded at end of your stay when 'check out' is completed. About the owner
We live in England, but love the beauty of the mountains in winter for all kinds of winter sports and the warmer, sunny weather in summer. Keen skiers for many years we really enjoy sharing our properties with others to experience great winter holidays. Also summer holidays offer great weather, no humidity and many activities. I have now been doing holiday rentals for over 6 years and really enjoy making our apartments a home from, home.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We always seemed to end up going back to Méribel for our own ski holidays and decided to buy our own apartment there. However, when looking to buy, we discovered Les Allues, the capital of the Méribel Valley. It is real thriving village and not a purpose built resort. Full of charm and character, but just 4kms from the centre of Méribel and linked by gondola and ski bus. It is perfect for winter and summer holidays with a lovely mountain village atmosphere. We were so happy, we then bought another apartment and last year also bought a chalet. All of which are available for holiday rentals. This gives me a very enjoyable and rewarding 'job'.

Unique benefits of the property
Friendly mountain village. Huge ski terrain. Snow sure December - end of April. Probably the best views in the whole valley. Choice of 5 restaurants within an easy walk in the village. Easy access to The Three Valleys ski area. Warm & sunny in summer with many activities. Privately owned with real attention to detail to make a warm & cosy home from home. it is almost like having two places as the summer is just as lovely as the winter, but the area looks and feels different! Either season, it's wonderful to be on top of the mountains in the clean, fresh air and warm sunshine
