27/8/11: Really lovely 2 week holiday for 4 adults and 3 children (7,6 & 4). The grounds are fabulous for the children to mess about in and the pool was lovely. Loads of cycling, tennis and swimming. Cycling is very safe and easy with the kids. We has a lovely day out in Bordeaux ,a very clean and pretty city. Canoeing in Coutras was also great fun and safe for the children. I would echo a previous entry in the visitor book that for the space and facilities this is very good value for money and we hope to come back again. Thomas and Knowles families
Owner profile
Everyone loves the pool!
About the owner
We live here year-round at Le Pas des Aigles with our two boys, aged 12 and 10. The boys go to school with their friends in the village, and have grown up speaking French with a Bordeaux accent like the locals.
We are on hand in case of any problems, questions, or just a natter.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Blaye is in a lovely part of France - close to many tourist spots and an important wine region, but really unspoilt, an area where the locals go about their everyday business the same as they have done for decades, visiting the boulangerie each morning and enjoying the slow pace of life where people have time for each other. We love the village lifestyle and the space and open air here, with easy access to the coast and Bordeaux.
Unique benefits of the property
This place is a haven for kids - plenty of room for ball games or just charging about letting off steam, the fenced pool and the play area. The house and gardens are in a quiet spot on the edge of the forest, with no close neighbours.
We offer all manner of baby stuff so that you can travel light confident that the house is equipped for your needs. We strive to make this a truly family friendly place to stay.
