Villa Marco overlooks the competition golf course of the Riviera golf in Mandelieu and is only 10 kilomteres along the coast from Cannes. Close to the beaches of Cannes and La Napoule as well as within easy access to the A8 motorway that takes you East to Nice, Monte Carlo, Ventimiglia in Northern Italy and westwards to St Raphaël, St Tropez and further to Marseille. Set in a residential location, Villa Marco is peaceful with no passing traffic as it is almost at the end of a cul de sac that adjoins the Riviera Golf course. No part of the villa is overlooked and clients are assured of excellent service. Recently re-furbished with all co-ordinating soft furnishings to make Villa Marco an ideal family or corporate venue. Both the Balcon du Golf and the whole of Villa Marco are available throughout the year. Please ask for appropriate rates dependent upon length of stay. Le Balcon du Golf accepts additional guests. Each additional guest is £110 per person per week.
Linen and towels can be hired. Please ask for rates.

Accommodation

There are 2 floors to the villa that do not connect internally, but have separate entrances linked by external stairways. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms: Two are double, one with en suite bathroom. Other double shares a bathroom with third twin bedded room. Shared bathroom is accessible from both bedrooms making it 'semi' en suite. All bedrooms have windows with either golf or garden views.

Large kitchen with electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave. W/machine in garage. All units white fronted with brick custom-built units, and hob is under large hood with beamed front. Access from kitchen to private rear terrace of villa where there is a secluded dining area with large table, chairs and parasol for those very sunny hot Mediterranean days and balmy evenings.

Hallway on the upper floor with WC and basin. Doors to the large double aspect salon. 3 French windows open onto surrounding balcony. Magnificent landscape views and idyllic sunsets.

Villa Marco is the whole of the villa with all the accommodation of Le Balcon du Golf as detailed above but with the addition of a further three bedrooms on the ground floor to accommodate 6 further guests.

Here there is one family suite that has a double bedroom with French windows to the lower terrace and a twin bedded room off the main bedroom usually for the children of the guests in the double room as occupants of these two bedrooms share the powder blue bathroom and the twin bedroom is accessed only by passing through the double one.

Third bedroom is twin with en suite shower room and WC. Basin in the actual bedroom and again access to the lower terrace via French windows. There is also direct access to the garage and laundry facilities from this bedroom.

The pool is private whether used by occupants in the whole villa or just Le Balcon du Golf. The lower part of the villa is never let independently from the upper part as there is no kitchen on lower level.

 

Notes on accommodation
Central heating during Winter from oil-fired boiler.
The villa is suitable for children, particularly since the pool is fenced and gated as well as having an approved alarm system as required by French Law as of 2004.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is possible only on the lower floor as the upper floor necessitates steps. Pool is on the lower level, but dining facilities would have to be outside on the lower terrace and access to the main salon would be prohibitive.

Outside
Outdoor loungers, mattresses, garden furniture for full capacity of the villa. Barbecue and table and chairs to rear of villa on upper level adjacent to the kitchen. Parasols for shade. Double garage as well as rear courtyard parking. Single access driveway. Boules court under shaded area. Pool is 9 x 4.5 metres in an attractive kidney shape with ladder exit in deep end. Pool is fenced, alarmed and gated. Sunbathing areas next to pool on lawned terrace.

Coast/Beach
Local beaches are sandy and offer excellent water sports. Within less than a 10 minute drive to la Napoule and Le Sweet Beaches. Beautiful red rock coastline of the Esterel with over 200 kilomteres of walkways and mountain bike trails.

Golf
Right next to the Riviera Golf Club! Also at least 6 other excellent courses within easy access at Mougins, Mandelieu, Opio/Valbonne and Valescure.

Skiing
Within 90 minutes' drive to Auron, Isola 2000 and Valberg where there are some excellent pistes, lively atmosphere and the slopes are usually open from late December to mid/end March. In case there is a lack of snow then pistes are equipped with artificial snow cannons.

Special interest holidays
All special interest groups can be advised and put in touch with local people who offer courses, such as cookery, language courses, wine-tasting, painting, wind-surfing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and so on. The Côte d'Azur offers all of these and many more.

Mandelieu has a superb Tennis Club with 11 hard courts available on an hourly basis and open to the public to book.

Travel
Nearest airport is Nice, being approx a 30 min drive or less depending on traffic. It is recommended to hire a car as it would take approximately 30 mins to walk to the beach and 20 minutes to the local supermarket.

Distances
Distance to supermarket 2km, Beach 3.5km, Motorway 3.5km. Centre of Mandelieu is 3.5km, Cannes about 10km and Nice approx 30. Grasse with the perfumeries, The Luberon with the vineyards, Monaco for the Grand Prix and just Monte Carlo and its Palace and Casino, Cannes and its festivals and chic boutiques are all within easy reach.

Further details
Excellent restaurants in La Napoule, the coastal Marina part of Mandelieu. All banks in the centre of Mandelieu, but cash points at supermarkets everywhere. There is an abundance of sport, whether water sports, cycling, tennis or walking. Horse-riding not far away, go-karting, bowling and golf. Parasailing, wind-surfing as well as sailing schools. There is no need to be idle here unless that is the aim of the holiday!
