Our private cottage set next to the feudal ruins of Chateaux Lavauguyon. Equipped with quality furnishings throughout and has central heating. Views across the beautiful countryside of the river Tardoire valley. It is ideally located for exploration of this "Parc Naturel Regional". Salles Lavauguyon is only a few minutes for freshly baked bread and croissants for breakfast. St Mathieu is five minutes drive for local shops and a well stocked supermarket. An 18 hole Golf course at St Junien with shops, bars and restaurants is a 20 mins drive.

Bedlinen, towels and tea towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels. Time is allocated for cleaning on Sat our change over day between 11.00am---4pm in preperation for following guests. Inclusive-electicity, gas, water and central heating. |
Notes on accommodation
Heating is by oil fired radiators and a log effect electric fire, giving that cosy feeling on summer evenings. The 4 ring cooker is fueled by gas which is supplied at no extra cost.
Garden tables , chairs and sun loungers are all easy accessible stored in the bake house.

Outside
Set next to the feudal ruins of Chateaux Lavauguyon,
amongst beautiful countryside, our private cottage with pretty gardens and sun trap patio has views over the river tardoire valley. Birds song, meandering Limousin cattle the occasional lamb with its mother, all to be viewed and enjoyed. Many walks to enjoy, cycles for hire available from St Mathieu. Equestrian center at Barrage de Lavaud (10 minutes drive) for horse riding.
Coast/Beach
Lakes at Vidiex, Barrage de Lavaud and Sy Mathieu all 10 minutes drive (in different directions) all hosting beaches and restaurants. Barrage de Lavaud with wind surfing hire and sailing boats, also mini golf course Vidiex lake has padolas large rubber rings which are great fun for the children.volly ball, and a play area with climbing frame and swings.
Golf
St Junien has a 18 hole golf course a good variety of shops , cafes and restaurants, only 20 minutes drive. Should you require further information we will be pleased to help any way we can.

Further details
Lakes there are many. Viedex and Barrage de Lavaud are only 10 minutes drive. Have fun with mini-golf, sailing, swimming, fishing (permit required). Picnic tables are provided under the dappled shade of the trees or visit the cafe or restaurant for a refreshing drink.
Evening meals for Barrage de Lavaud shoud be booked as soon as possible as it comes very highly recommended. Facilities provided at Viedex lake are showers, changing rooms, lifeguard and toilets.
Historic cities all within an hour's drive are Cognac, Limoges and Perrigueux, hosting chic boutiques, art galleries, china factory daily visits, river cuises and much more for you to discover. Immerse yourself as each has a charm of its own with typical pavement cafes and romantic restaurants with outstanding cuisine and local wines from this region.
Theme Park at Belgard (next to Limoges airport) includes karting.
"Action park" at Messignac, an assault course through the tree tops for children and adults a wild experience and great fun.
Roman 12th century fresques at Salles Lavauguyon St Emelion church and Priory that holds regular art exhibitions.
Chateaux of interest and beauty - there are many - Rocheforcauld-Rochechouart and Chalus to name a few.
Internet cafes and libraries are readily available.
Regular fetes in the summer months.
Confolons International Music Festival a wonderful experience the atmosphere is electric. Not to be missed.

To secure your chosen weeks a 25% deposit is required on conformation of weeks required (non-refundable).
A £75 deposit against Breakages/Damage (your cheque returnable on no claims made) due (8) eight weeks prior to commencement date. Together with separate cheque for balance.
