The chalet is excellently located 100m from the nearest bus stop and 10 mins walk in ski boots to the nearest lift (The Chamois). Megeve has everything for the family including a fantastic sports complex, a host of outdoor activities, shopping, spas and sophisticated nightlife.

Notes on prices
Serviced chalet includes daily cleaning. You have the option to book breakfast, afternoon tea, evening meals and babysitting if wanted.
During low season we would consider renting individual rooms on a bed and breakfast basis.
Short breaks 3 or 4 days available.

Self Catered Chalet

This comfortable detached chalet has accommodation over three floors and is owner run. Ground floor: large sitting/dining room with log fire. Spacious double bedroom 15m2 (sleeps 2-3) with en-suite bathroom with full-size bath. This bedroom can be set up as a twin or double to meet your requirements and there is ample space for a cot or additional single bed. Lower ground floor: Large bedroom 14m2 with en-suite shower room which be set up as a twin or double with a child’s bed. Bunk room (sleeps 2), Small single, bathroom, separate toilet and laundry/drying room. Top floor: Double bedroom with private balcony, Twin bedroom. General: The accommodation can sleep up to 12 people however we feel that where all guests are adults 10 is comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, food processor, deep fat fryer etc. There are a full range of utensils and everything you need to ccok for 12 people. |

Notes on accommodation
The chalet is spacious, warm and comfortable and perfectly suited for families with children. The lounge has a TV, DVD, Video Player, X-Box as well as a large selection of books, games and jigsaws for you to enjoy. There is a stereo system with CD and Cassette and Ipod speakers. Three sofas are arranged around the log fire where you can relax in comfort and enjoy the wonderful mountain views.
Accessibility
The chalet is accessed by stairs and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There are two sunny balconies accessed from the upstairs double and lounge. These have attractive views over Megeve and the ski areas. The lower balcony has a barbeque, and external dining facilities for 6 people. There is a large garden. An external store is available for storing skis, bikes etc. and a selection of outdoor toys are provided.
Coast/Beach
There are three swimming lakes within a 15 minute drive. Lac de Passy is the largest with crazy golf, beach and delightful walk with views of Mont Blanc. There are two bio-swimming lakes one in Combloux (5 mins drive) and one in Flumet (15 mins drive).
Golf
Megeve has an 18 hole golf club 6100m par 72 (0033 4 50 53 06 28) and there are many other golf clubs locally including at Chamonix, 2 in Annecy, Les Gets and Geneve.
Skiing
The nearest ski lift is a 10 minute walk in ski boots (The Chamois) which takes you to the Rochebrune or there is a bus stop 100m from the chalet stopping at Mont d'Arbois and Cote 2000. Megeve is at the heart of the Espace Mont Blanc ski area which has some 450km of pistes. There are runs to suit all levels of skiers with many long, wide trails ideal for beginners whilst Mont Joly offers some steep and demanding runs for the most advanced skiers. A few minutes drive to Praz sur Arly gives you access to the Espace Diamant which offers an additional 185km of skiing.
Special interest holidays
We run watercolour and Chinese brush painting holidays. Taught by Maureen Benjamin we limit class sizes to 6 to ensure that everyone gets enough one-to-one tuition time. Dates are by arrangement as Maureen is busy running painting courses in the Alps and in the Charente-Maritime. We particularly recommend the spring for great weather and fields of mountain flowers.

Closest airport Geneva 80km 1 hour 10 mins drive. We can arrange transfers on your behalf.
Closest Motorway A41 J21 15km
A car is not necessary.
Distances
We are within walking distance of Megeve centre. Interesting places to visit within an hour's drive include Chamonix, Annecy and Geneva, which all have golf courses
Further details
Megeve has many amenities including three supermarkets, shops, spas, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and a casino and sports complex with two outdoor pools one with slides and the other a 50m pool, two indoor pools, tennis, badminton, climbing wall ice rink, gym etc.
Booking notes
One third of the total is payable at the time of booking and the remainder six weeks before your arrival date.
