Also open air swimming pool. 10 mins to hypermarket, with petrol. 10 mins to beautiful local park with children's activities, BMX track, tennis courts, running and exercise track. There is also a paddock with friendly goats and donkeys. 15 mins to Apremont Chateau with man made beach and water activities. 20 mins to nearest golf course, with 4 others within 60 mins. 20 mins to nearest beach at Bretignolles sur Mer with several others also local, including Les Sables D'Olonne, which is a large coastal town with long beaches. 1 hour to the beautiful historic seaport of La Rochelle. 1 hour to Puy du Fou theme park and evening pageant. 1 hour to Nantes.

Changeover day is Saturday, some flexibility is sometimes possible.
Check out time is 10am.
Check in time is 4pm.

Well equipped kitchen includes gas cooker with oven, microwave and fridge. DVD and CD players with large range of DVDs and CDs available to borrow free. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Use of washing machine. Double patio doors leading on to: Private, enclosed garden with patio area, fully equipped with garden furniture, loungers and barbecue. Overlooking private paddock with stream. A real sun trap. Own private parking space. Cuckoos also now boasts a log burning fire, making it the ideal place for relaxing Autumn, Winter and Spring breaks. Kindling and a basket of logs is provided on arrival, thereafter logs are sold at 2 Euros a basket. Wake up to the sound of the cuckoos! |

Notes on accommodation
All gas and electricity included. All bed linen, duvets and pillows included. All towels included except beach towels.
Range of bicycles available to borrow free, first come first served. Resident English owners always on hand if you need us. Meals and picnics available on request. Some food, drinks and essential items available to purchase on site. Why not book all 3 properties and bring the extended family or group of friends with you?
Outside
All properties have their own private garden and all have access to the private paddock and stream. Garden furniture, sunloungers and barbecues are provided for all 3 properties.
Each property has its own parking space. Country walkway borders the property which, in early spring, is a carpet of bluebells and primroses. A lovely, gentle, shaded stroll.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is at Bretignolles, around a 20 mins drive. Next door to this is Brem sur Mer. 10 mins down the coast is St Gilles - Croix de Vie, with scores of restaurants, bars and shops and lovely sandy beaches. Adjoining St. Gilles is St. Hilaire de Riez, again with sandy beaches. About half an hour from Les Gats is Les Sables D'Olonne which is a very sophisticated, large seaside town, again blessed with beautiful sandy beaches.
Golf
Golf des Fontenelles within 10 miles. This is a fairly new parkland course with lots of water! Open to the public along with a bar and restaurant. Lots of very nice houses being built around it. It will become very exclusive. 4 other courses open to the public within 30 miles.
Travel
Nearest large airport is Nantes (about 1 hour's drive)
Also airports at La Rochelle (about 70 minutes) and Poitiers (about 2 hours).
Nearest ferry port is St. Malo (about 3.5 hours)
Unless you want to do absolutely nothing, a car is essential.
Distances
10 mins into Aizenay with shops, banks and bars etc.
15 mins to La Roche sur Yon, which is a much bigger town with lots of shopping, bars and restaurants. Also has a huge out of town shopping area.
Equestrian centre within 10 miles.
Within a quarter of a mile you can join a purpose built cycle track which can, if you're very fit, take you from Coex to La Roche and much further.

On booking a £100 deposit is required to reserve your property. We will then confirm your booking.
Full payment is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Changeover day is Saturday but we will attempt to be flexible wherever possible. Check out time is 10am. Check-in time is 4pm but again we will make every effort to get your property ready for you earlier. Short breaks may be available.
