Villa Picholine is a very beautiful old house that has recently been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The main points: A new 14.5x6m pool with an advanced purifying system that does not need chlorine (no red eyes, bad taste or smell), and an outdoor 5 person jacuzzi hot tub with 33 massage jets. There is a new sauna with own shower room, new laundry room with Bosch washing machine and dryer. Four new bath/shower rooms, (each with own suspended wc), beautifully finished in antique marble tiles. The master bathroom in particular has a two person jacuzzi bath with water and air jets and a separate five jet power shower cubicle. There is a huge, superbly equipped state of the art kitchen with 10 hobs, American fridge freezer and separate wine fridge. All bedrooms have been air conditioned with individual remote controls. There is unlimited wireless internet connection and a sophisticated alarm linked to a surveillance company.

Accessibility
The house wasn't designed when built to be compatible for wheelchairs, however, in our renovation work we've done our best to make it as compatible as possible. On the ground floor everything is on the same level. There is a very wide double front door, and all the internal doors are at least 73cms wide, many are 83cms. There is a kitchenette on the ground floor, and an independent studio with own kitchenette and DVD player. However the main kitchen and living room are upstairs.
Outside
There is a totally flat, absolutely beautiful garden, which is well maintained with loads of lawns where children and adults a like can run around and play. There are outdoor tables and chairs for 20. There are 12 sun loungers. Pool size: 14.5x6m. 5 person outdoor jacuzzi hot tub with 33 massage jets. Gas barbecue. Plenty of parking. 2 adults mountain bikes and one child's bike and a Ping pong table.The swimming pool has a security fence as well as an alarm.
Coast/Beach
Cannes beach (sand) is half hour drive away.
We can arrange boat rental if required.
Golf
The famous "Grande Bastide" 18 hole golf course is only 5 mins walk away. Another 10 top quality golf clubs are within a half hour drive.
Skiing
Snow skiing is between one hour and two hours drive away, depending on which station you choose.
Special interest holidays
Painting school and cookery school nearby. There is a Golf club as well as horse riding and a tennis club just 5 mins away.
Travel
Car recommended, but not an absolute necessity. There are several good restaurants, shops, golf, tennis and horse riding all within a short walk.
Nice airport is 35 mins away.
Cannes station is 30 mins away.
Cannes/Mougins A8 motorway turn off (exit 42) is 20 mins away.

Located on a gentle hill side with panoramic views, Villa Picholine is ideally situated on the edge of two very attractive provencal hill top villages: Chateauneuf and Opio. The medieval church of the latter is visible from the kitchen window. The famous 18 hole Grand Bastide golf course, an international tennis club, a riding school, shops and several excellent restaurants are all within a mile of the villa and can easily be reached on foot. The area is predominantly peaceful and rural, yet not at all isolated. The feel is that of living in deep Provence, with a shepherd and his sheep occasionally passing in front of the garden entrance, and yet one is only a short drive to the famous Riviera high life with all it's glitz and famous restaurants, when desired.
Booking notes
Sheets and towels are supplied free, but washing and ironing charged at 12 Euro/hour. All utilities are included except electricity if over 100 Euro/week is consumed, and telephone.
£3000 (if booking whole villa) damage deposit required returnable 14 days after departure with any damage subtracted.Payment schedule: 50% on booking, the remainder plus damage deposit must be received at least four weeks before occupation, by bank transfer.
