Welcome to our comfortable family flat is ideally located in the heart of Paris, in the lively and fashionable Montorgueil quarter. It is positioned between the theatres, cinemas, cafe terraces and Grands Magasins of the Grands Boulevards to the north and the trendy rue Motorgueil to the south. 2 minutes from the flat you will find everything you need: specialised food shops, supermarkets, chic boutiques, bars and restaurants. There is also a street market three times a week. You'll find the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, 10 - 15 minutes away - The Louvre, Notre Dame, The Pompidou Modern Art Centre, Le Marais. The flat is very close to 3 metro lines and many bus routes taking you all over Paris. This private third floor 19th century flat, with interphone security and a lift, is very easy to live in. With three south-facing windows looking over a row of 19th century buildings the flat is light and sunny. The rear windows overlook a paved courtyard.

Changeover day
Flexible but normally, unless by prior arrangement, guests should try to leave by 10am and arrive no earlier than 2pm. This helps same day changeover cleaning. Special arrangements may be possible depending on other bookings. Luggage storage is possible.

Accessibility
There is a lift but it may be important to note that from the lift you have to walk either up or down nine stairs. In addition inside the flat there are three steps from the main part of the flat down to the bathroom and bedrooms 2 and 3, and also the double bed in bedroom 1 is on a raised platform with 3 steps.

Special interest holidays
There is a pottery kiln in the flat and I give china painting lessons. This is very popular in France with the wonderful porcelain from Limoges, and lovely results can be achieved even by a beginner.
Travel
Take the 'RER B' from Charles de Gaulle airport to 'Chatelet-Les Halles'. It is a 10 min walk up rue Montorgueil to the apartment. From Gare du Nord take the line 4 direction 'Porte d'Orleans' for four stations and change at Strasbourg St Denis for lines 8 or 9 for 1 stop to Bonne Nouvelle, it is then a 1 min walk to the flat. From the apartment, taking lines 3, 8 or 9 on the metro, you have easy access to the Champs-Elysees, the major stores, the Bastille. Palais Royal, the Louvre and Concorde.
Distances
The flat is located in the centre of Paris and sightseeing in Paris is incredibly easy. If you want to go further afield to Versailles, Compiegne or Euro-Disney for example access using public transport is very simple, inexpensive and quick. If you are using Paris as a base for exploring Europe, the Parisian train stations will take you directly to other European cities: for example: 2 hours 35 mins to central London from Gare du Nord.
Further details
You are spoilt for choice; there are lots of cafés, bars and restaurants to suit every age and budget. The local supermarkets are 2 minutes walk away. Paris has many fresh fruit and vegetable markets, each with its own atmosphere. Theatres, cinemas, world famous museums and art galleries, exhibition centres, the tennis at Roland Garros, the football and rugby stadiums are all easily accessible. Paris is also of course - a shopper's paradise - from very up market to vintage flea markets, everything is here. Bike hire, Olympic size swimming pool, yoga centre all within walking distance. Paris is really at your feet. Payment by cheque or Swift (bank transfer) - credit card payment can be arranged if necessary.

Prices are for the flat per week in euros. Rates include End Cleaning Fee, all running costs and unlimited internet. Telephone calls are charged at cost (if any). Extra maid service and baby-sitting can be arranged. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking, with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of rental period. A £100/ 150 euros security deposit is also required with the final payment. This will be returned after inspection with you when the keys are handed back.
