The apartment is in a building which was once a small hotel in the old village of Le Tour at the head of the Chamonix valley. The village has 2 bars/restaurants and is 2km from the larger village of Argentiere where there is a supermarket and a good variaty of other shops, bars and restaurants. Le Tour gets a lot more sun than other areas around Chamonix because it is in a higher and more open part of the valley. The windows look onto the old church and some very picturesque old houses, it is also possible to see the Le Tour Glacier. The apartment has parking just in front of the garden and is just 50 meters from the ski area car park. The Le Tour Gondola which is open in the summer for access for walking, mountain biking and the mountain restaurant is just a 2 minute walk from the apartment. From the Chamonix valley it is easy to explore other parts of the Alps. The Aosta valley is just the other side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel and Switzerland is just over the Coll de Montets.

Argentiere ski area, 3km. Flegere (Le Praz), 7km. Brevant and Aiguille du Midi, (Chamonix) 10km. The Mont Blanc unlimited pass includes Verbier and Courmayeur.

Travel
Nearest Airport: Geneva 1 hour 15 mins. Car hire or use of a car is recommended for exploration of the area, shopping and going out in the evening (the buses stop running at about 7).

Argentiere 2 Kilometers. Chamonix 10 Kilometers.

A security deposit of £100 (separate cheque will not be cashed) to cover any damage or extra cleaning will be returned to you upon the return of the key.
