Although you’ll undoubtedly want to visit the famous nearby chateaux wineries and charming outdoor markets, we hope you will also have time to explore and enjoy this exquisite property. Take the arched footbridge to our island and picnic under the willows. Or grab a fishing pole and row through the lily pads, trailing bread crumbs for the geese who will quickly fall in line behind you. And everywhere you stroll you’ll discover waterfalls and flower-filled meadows. Swimming under the stars is a special treat at Moulin de Malicorne. Barbecue on the back terrace, just steps from the kitchen and pool. There are 4 bikes on the premises for bicycling down our tree-lined valley roads past fields of sunflowers and centuries-old troglodyte dwellings. Our gated, private property is near Ste. Maure de Touraine, world famous for its goat cheese and 4th century tombs.

Accessibility
Main house doesn't provide easy access for those with mobility problems. We can provide a ramp for wheelchair access to guest house.
Outside
Private pool is approximately 40 x 22 feet, with a maximum depth of 7 feet. Several pool lounge chairs are provided. Nearest neighbour is about 250 yards away. Picnic tables and barbecue are available for outdoor dining on the rear courtyard or on the grass. Paths provide easy access to the forests, quarries, island, and caves on the property. Many guests love to feed the geese that roam freely on the estate.
Travel
Rental car is essential. The Moulin is 5 minutes from Ste. Maure de Touraine, 30 minutes from Tours (which has a small airport), and approximately 2 hours' drive from Paris' Orly airport and 3 hours from Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport. Alternatively, you can take a train from Paris to Tours and then rent a car in Tours.
Distances
Medieval towns of Tours, Chinon, and Loches are within a 30 minute drive and Poitiers is about 40 minutes away. Many famous chateaux are within an hour, including Chenonceau, Chambord, Azay-le-Rideau, Amboise, and Villandry. The ruins of a small chateau are in Ste. Maure de Touraine, 5 minutes from the Moulin. Ste. Maure offers restaurants, banks, bakeries, supermarkets, outdoor markets, book fairs and other attractions.

Local banks offer ATM machines that accept ATM cards from other countries. Horseback riding, tennis and boating are available within a 30 minute drive.
